He stood right in front of the person he had seen only on the TV screens. Not that he was a fan of him but all this time he had studied that person's life from a distance and now that he finally got to meet him, he was flustered..a little.
"Have a seat." Jamaal said after eyeing Farhan from head to toe.
"Thankyou." He sunk in the big couch next to Jamal. Hania bit her nails with her teeth sitting beside him, she could feel the heat of the Waheed's gaze at her.
"So, for how long do you both know each other?"
Farhan turned to look at Hania who was busy fidgeting before answering.
"Uh..We..We've known each other for a year."
"Hania told me you had been somewhere?"
He once again looked at Hania and this time she looked at him too in confusion, her fidgeting getting even faster.
"Umm...yes my aunt was ill so I had to go out station." He tried to hold in his anger towards Hania and replied to Jamal's questions in the best way he could.
"So you should have brought her with.."
"She's dead!" He didn't even let him finish, because he had no such relative on Earth right from the beginning, he had to tell so many lies because of Hania.
"Hmm..so do you really like Hania?"
He abruptly lifted his head to look at him. He could feel Hania's eyes on him too.
"Uhh..yes a lot." He smiled sheepishly and looked at Hania trying to show off his love as best he could.
"Fine then, it's a done deal." Jamal stood up, which was a sign for him to stand up as well, which he did and so did Hania.
"I'll let you know about the marriage date soon, it would be a simple Nikkah, without any extravagant preparations."
He nodded with a little surprising expression in his eyes.

"Why did you lie him about me going to some place?"
He complained as soon as he stepped out in the huge lawn outside the house.
"It's a long story, I'll tell you some other time." She tried to calm him down.
"No, but you should have told me about everything, so I could have had better answers."
"Okay, I am sorry, I had so many things going in my head I forgot to tell you about this."
They both silenced for a moment. Hania looked at Farhan who looked really annoyed right now.
"Do you..really like me a lot?"
"Huh..?" the frown on his face disappeared.
"Umm..yeah."
She pressed her lips before touching her ear again, which he noticed,
"You have a strange habit of fidgeting when you're nervous. It'll be nice if you confront your problems without hesitation.
She was caught probably off guard, due to which she went speechless, he was the first the first person to ever notice such a negligible habit in such a short time, which she herself did unconsciously.
"Umm..don't mind me saying this but do you not find it strange..."
He left his words unfinished as they heard foot-steps approaching from behind them and reached out his hand towards Farhan. It was Waheed. Farhan looked at his hand and then at that strange smirk on his face, before shaking hands with him.
"I'm Waheed, Hania's best friend." He emphasized the word 'best' while Hania sighed, for she knew how much of the best buddies they both were.
"Oh best friends." Farhan smirked as well, looking at him straight in the eyes. They both knew exactly what kind of friendship it was.
Hania looked at the two men smirking at each other, she couldn't tell what was going on in their heads.

Farhan came back to the hostel room and sunk in his bed. He had been thinking all his back home. He found it really strange that Jamal had not even asked him about his occupation or about his income before marrying her daughter off to him. He had tried to ask Hania about this too but Waheed came up to them so he had to stop.
"Let's go out and buy something delicious to eat tonight." He shrugged off all the thoughts before getting up from the bed. No matter how much his income would be, Jamal would never send her daughter to live in a place like this and he would certainly wait for him till he settles down. But till then he would be having nothing to do with him or her daughter because he was going to get his story from Hania right after his marriage.

He walked down the street whistling to the tune of 'I'm too hot for you' by the school of rock, with his spicy burgers that he loved in the shopping bag in his hands, when a car from behind came and stopped in front of him screeching the tires. He stopped as the car lights made him squint and he had to cover his eyes before he started to see a few men came walking towards him.
They had something in their hands and the next moment he was lying on the road getting beaten up brutally by them. He winced but his strength wasn't enough to deal with three men all by himself. They beat him up till he was dizzy and everything felt like spinning in front of him. His forehead was bleeding and his back hurt, where they had kicked him as hard as possible.
After they had left, he barely gathered his strength to bring out the phone out of his pocket with his shaking hands. His head was spinning when he pressed the emergency number on the phone and blacked out even before answering it.

The lady stepped out from the car and put off the sunglasses from her eyes. She seemed to be in her thirtees and was dressed decently and elegantly, with her long hair resting at her back.
"Please bring in my bags from the taxi." She told the person who was there to receive her. She had reached straight to that hotel from the airport.
She got the keys of her room from the reception and pulled out her phone from her hand bag as soon as she entered her room.
"Have you reached safely ma'am? Hope you had a good flight." The voice came from the other side.
"Yes, I'm here, now I would like you to be speed up your work and get in contact with Mr. Jawad Huayoun as soon as possible."
"yes ma'am."
