Third Person POV
Masky stood still, shock registering through his body. It took him a second before he launched himself forward, legs carrying him after the young boy who he somehow seemed to love.
"Toby!" Masky shouted as he panted heavily. "Toby please stop!"
Come on just a little more. Masky told himself. He pushed harder and the image of Toby began to become bigger. After a few more seconds, Masky was close enough to grab onto the back of his shirt. He could hear Toby was having a hard time breathing as well.
Masky jumped forwards onto him as he wrapped his arms around his waist, sending both of them onto the dirt of the forest. Masky landed on top of Toby. He pinned the younger's hands onto the ground with his own and straddled his waist. "Toby just tell me what's going on please." Masky begged.
Toby, face red from exhaustion, stared back up at him. "I'm fucked up Masky." He said. The worst feeling in the world was when you weren't angry at anyone but yourself and that's exactly what Toby was going through.
Masky chuckled slightly. "You've got to give me more context than that Toby. We're all pretty fucked up."
Toby gave a deep sigh. "Masky...I'm in love." He said as he clamped his eyes shut.
Masky let go of the boy's wrist and got off his waist. He sat down on the floor next to where Toby laid. "Who are you in love with?"
Toby's breath shook as it escaped through his lips, the cold air of the forest piercing his wet skin. He bit his lip, unable to make up his mind.
"Is it Jeff?" Masky spoke up abruptly as he grabbed handfuls of his own shirt tightly.
"Yes, no, I mean I don't know."
"You don't know if you're in love Jeff?" Masky questioned. "I mean if you're questioning it, you might as well be."
Toby could hear the distaste in Masky's tone. Fuck he thinks I'm disgusting. Toby thought to himself. He knew Masky wouldn't be able to understand him.
"That's only part of the problem. There's this other guy-" Masky cut him off with a low growl that sent shivers through Toby's body. There's another guy? I thought I only had to worry about Jeffery. Shit. Masky thought to himself. He clenched his teeth as he stared down at the younger boy.
"So you like two guys? Anymore?" Masky spat bitterly.
Toby sat up, his back covered in dirt. "No! I'm not like that! I just- I don't know..."
Then it was silent, nobody moved or spoke. The two of them sat awkwardly, the cold wind against their wet skin. Toby shivered, "I'll just get going now. See you at the mansion..."
Masky watched as Toby got up. His body shook slightly as his heavy, soaking clothes made it harder for him to stand. When Toby got to his feet, he picked up the pace of his walking and left Masky, confused and heartbroken. Unknowingly, that the second man he loved was him.
--Toby creaked open the doors of the mansion before entering. He removed his soaked jacket and dropped his shoes next to the others.
"Did you have fun?" Toby's ears perked up at the voice and he turned around to find EJ leaning against the wall in a black hoodie with a glass of ice water in his hand. He leaned against the corner of the wall and smirked.
Toby rolled his eyes. He didn't want to get tangled up with him again. He knew from experience. EJ cooed mockingly, "Is my baby cold?" He pouted, Toby's eyebrow twitched in annoyance.
"Don't call me that." Toby snapped. "I'm not yours anymore, you fucking psycho."
EJ laughed, "Someone's a little bitter, aren't they?" He moved closer, his intoxicating and familiar scent surrounded Toby. "Baby~" He teased, bringing back memories of the past.Toby curled up next to EJ. His scent overpowering and comforting. He loved days like this, where everyone was out of the house and neither of them had to worry about anyone coming into the room and seeing them.
EJ looked down at the younger boy lying on his chest. He ran his fingers through the younger boy's hair and played with a couple of strands. Toby smiled widely as he pressed himself closer to him.
"Baby~" EJ cooed quietly.
Toby hummed in reply, his eyes opening slightly, fatigue and relaxation clouding his mind.
"What do you think about dying your hair blonde?"Toby clenched his eyes shut as he gripped EJ's hoodie with both of his hands. He trembled in mostly rage, but with a small amount of fear. Fear he thought had been sent away when EJ had been. "Get the hell away from me! I don't want you here!"
EJ, once again, closed the space between them and brought his face dangerously close to Toby's. "Well guess what..." EJ whispered to Toby, staring him in the eyes coldly. "This world isn't fair. I'm here and I'm here to stay. So why don't you do everyone a favor, and go for another swim." He growled as he brought his cup of ice water over the top of Toby's head and dumped it over him.
EJ threw the cup to the ground, shattering it as he turned his back. "Be useful for once and clean this shit up." He said as he made his way up the stairs. From the second floor, Jeff came rushing out of his room from the commotion. He looked over the railing to see his boyfriend and his other 'lover'.
"What happened?" He yelled as panic set in his mind.
EJ glared at Toby and pressed a single finger to his lips, telling him to keep the truth a secret.
Toby's breath shook as he started to speak. He didn't know why he obeyed EJ. He thought he was better than this, but it was then that he had come to the realization that he hadn't changed at all. "I had thought everyone was out on a mission, so when Jack walked in, it scared me and I dropped my cup."
"Oh okay..." Jeff nodded slowly. "Do you need any help?"
"No.." Toby looked down at the ground as he gathered the pieces of broken glass. They dug into the palms of his hands and his blood dripped onto the floor. But Toby had no reason to complain.
By the time the conversation had finished, EJ was already beside Jeff. "Come on, let's go into our room." He said as he grabbed the boy by his waist and led him through the door. There, EJ lied with Jeff on the bed and cuddled up against the warmth and company of each other. Jeff thought deeply to himself, Slender's been out of town for a week already. We don't have any missions. Toby knows that, so why would he lie?"Hey." EJ cut in. He brought Jeff closer towards his body and smiled at him. "What do you think about dying your hair blonde?"
