Toby's Pov
I'm never coming out of this room. If I stay in here long enough, without having to see both of them, I'll be fine. I won't feel like how I do whenever I see them. Fuzzy and warm, mixed with a feeling of sudden happiness.

I strike myself across the face. Stop it. Stop thinking about them. But the second I stop my own thoughts, the voices fill in.

You're disgusting.

That's not normal.

Haha you like two people when you don't even deserve one.

I know I shouldn't listen to them. But if I lock myself in here forever, it may be the only voices I'll hear in a long time.

I won't ever hear Jeff's scratchy yet charming voice. I won't hear that intimidating, sexy voice.

I won't ever hear Masky's strict and demanding voice. I won't hear dominant, hot voice ever again.

I can't stay in here. I can't. I need to see them. What would happen to me if I didn't at least get a peek of them daily.

Would I go insane?
More insane than I already am?

I want them.
I crave them.
I need them.

----------
Masky's POV

God where is that kid. Is he out on a mission finally? Or has he even come out of his room at all today?

"Hoodie." I say as he inclines his head towards my direction. "Where's that ticking freak?"

Hoodie sighs, "he's been in his room all day."

I turn my head towards the stairs and mentally decide to go up, but before I move, a hand grabs mine.

"Don't go to him." Hoodie says hesitantly.

I look at him, "You ok? You've been acting off lately."

"I-it's nothing."

"Clearly something's wrong." I stare him down, looking directly at his eyes as he looks down at his shoes.

"...." He stays silent.

"Whatever." I shake away his grasp and head upstairs without another word from him.

{time skip, well not really he's just going up the stairs loll.}
oh also I'm not going to put the tics in Toby's speech, because well ah I'm so lazy. But just read it like he's ticking. Ahaha sorry!

I knock on the door two times.

"....."

I knock again.

"....."

I bawl my fists up, ready to knock harder than the last time-

"GODDAMMIT WHAT, WHAT IS IT?"

Toby opens the door, face red from yelling.

He sees me and he suddenly calms down. His tics started to come out more and more.

"God, you don't have to throw a tantrum about it Tickers."

"Tickers? That's the worst nickname I've ever heard." Toby rolls his eyes but he holds his hands tightly together.

He looks really nervous. Maybe I scared him too hard.

"I'm not mad at you Toby. You don't have to look so nervous."

Toby nods. "I know you're not mad."

I'm confused.

"It's just that... Uh. Well I'm not nervous. You must just be reading my facial expressions wrong."

"Okay...? Anyways. You haven't come out of your room all day. You're becoming Ben. All he does his play video games in his room. No wonder he doesn't have a girlfriend." I start to chuckle at the thought of Ben, with his room curtains closed, and the only light source coming from his screen.

"I heard that you goddamn Proxy!" Ben yells from across the hall.

-third person POV-

Toby started to fiddle with his hands, "so if you don't need anything, I'll just be getting back to what I was doing."

"And what was that?" Masky asks the boy, who's heart rate beat impossibly fast.

"I was.... Well I was writing poetry. Yeah thanks for interrupting my train of thoughts." Toby was so happy he could have patted himself on the back.

"Let me hear what you've got so far." Masky said, not convinced that he was telling the truth.

"Uhmmm..." Toby started to panic. He had never even wrote two lines that have rhymed before, let alone a whole poem,
"Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
I really should just go mute
Because you're too cu- ugly."
Toby immediately changed the last part before the whole word got out of his mouth. Cute. Nice touch Toby. He said to himself.

Masky arched an eyebrow. "Thanks that was a lovely poem. Definitely boosts my self esteem." Now Masky rolled his eyes," ok sorry for disturbing you, 'master poet', I'll go now."

"Wait don't go!" Toby blurted out.

"What, why?"

"Uh because I have a uh question to ask you. Yeah that's right. I have a question."

"Ok ask away." Masky let out a sigh."

"Uh." I don't have a question. What do I do. Fuck. "Where's Jeff?"

"Oh.." Masky couldn't help but feel a but disappointed. "He's out on a mission. He should be back soon."

"Thanks.." Toby tried to smile, but only managed a tiny one.

He closed the door and sat on the ground, his back leaning against the door.

I'm so stupid. I am so fucking stupid.
