"mark, seri," the sibling's mom paused, "dad and i have something to tell you."

both seri and mark had the same thought in mind. their parents never really had serious talks with them. the vibe was very unsettling.

their dad continued, "your mom recently got a promotion. however, it's in canada."

"we would let you stay in korea but your grandparents are getting old now. we think it's best if you stay with us in canada to spend time with grandma and grandpa."

"i know this is sudden but we have atleast two weeks before moving." 

sudden tear drops fell from seri's eyes. she understood the reasons she has to move but it was hard for her to take in this information especially since she started her relationship with jaemin.

mark saw her tears and told her consoling words that she couldn't compute.

through multiple stutters she said the words, "i-i hav-e-e t-t-to l-l-ea-ve j-j-jae-jaemin?"

her mom looked baffled, "you have a boyfriend? girl, you wild."

"whatever, you're seventeen. go wild girlie." her dad said.

seri was contemplating on how she would tell jaemin the news.

she heard the doorbell ring. she opened the door and saw jaemin out of breath. before seri could open her mouth to speak, jaemin engulfed her in a hug.

"i heard the news from mark."

once seri heard that. she felt those familiar tears come back.

"jaemin, i'm so sor-"

the boy cut her off, "you don't have to say sorry, it's not your fault seri."

seri was bawling.

"seri," jaemin sighed, "let's make the most of the next two weeks."

seri's face had a bittersweet smile.

jaemin looked back at her with reminiscent eyes.

"we're gonna be okay."
