it's been 4 years since the lee family moved from korea to canada. this was their second day back in seoul.
"try some of this fried rice, the seasoning is soooooo good." mark emphasized.
seri took a spoon of the rice. her eyes lit up, "that's so good!"
seri looked down and sighed.
"what's wrong?" mark questioned.
being back in korea made seri nostalgic of her and jaemin. while in canada, seri and jaemin tried to keep their relationship alive. they would constantly video call and text. however, as the days flew by they kept losing contact and grew distant. both seri and jaemin thought it would be best to end the relationship.
"just thinking...reminiscing, you know."
"oh, i know what this is about." mark paused for a while.
"people grow distant. although it's confusing and hurts, it happens." mark said reassuringly.
seri showed a bittersweet smile.

"bye mark!" seri said.
mark had prior engagements with donghyuck and had to go.
seri walked through the streets of seoul alone, occasionally stopping to look at the makeup displays or the racks full of clothing.
although seri just ate, she was feeling a bit peckish. she was craving something sweet.
seri stopped at an ice cream stall. "one ice cream please!"

seri barely licked her ice cream, until she bumped into someone and dropped it.
she let out a little yelp, "sorry! i'm so clumsy."
"it's okay." a familiar voice replied.
seri thought this was odd. she couldn't put a finger in who's voice it was. seri looked up, "jaemin?"
