As I walked home I thought about Lai. She was so fucking beautiful and she had a real down to earth attitude which I was digging. I never really dated hoes though I just smashed and passed. I wasn't to type to get hung up on one girl. I'll probably just fuck her and leave her alone before she get all sprung on Big Daddy King.
"Man wtf you over there Daydreaming about nigga" my homeboy Drey said as we walked to the court to shoot a couple hoops. It wasn't basketball season yet but we tried to play every other day to stay in shape.
"Nothing my nigga , just how I'm about to whoop your ass in this one on one when we making to this court " I teased and yelled loudly
"Shit nigga you sleep! , Aye, but you saw them fine ass new twins today" he said licking his lips
"Shit , hell yeah you know I already got one of they number " I said as I slapped hands with him
"Damn , My nigga got game like a mf" he yelled playfully
"So when you plan on hitting that KT" drey asked all out the blue. KT was what all my homeboys called me which stood for King Tyler , My first and last name.
"Shit , sometime soon you already know me " I said playfully to drey
" Well shit hook me up with the other one " Drey said
"Iight I got you bro" I said as we arrived at the court
I thought about what I was gone say when I texted her as I layed my phone on the bench.

Laila's POV
Later that day me ,Nia,and lani all walked home from school . They walked a small distance ahead of me and talked about one of their classes they had together. I walked behind them thinking about King . I wasn't the type of female to crush on a nigga this hard so early but he was different. I actually wanted to get to know him more and see where this leads. He seemed interested in me not just how fast he could get into my draws. The only thing that I was upset about is that I didn't have a phone to talk to him all night . I mean Aunt Jenna had a house phone but I don't need the whole damn house in my business . I guess I'll just wait to everyone's off in there rooms to call him. I also considered telling him the truth about my phone because he was gone know something was up when I never text him back anyway.
"Damn Laila why you way back there" Lani yelled interrupting my thoughts
"No reason" I yelled as I walked faster to catch up with them . When I got up there Lani was just grinning at me.
"What bitch" I said trying to figure out why she was grinning at me like a creepy ass pervert.
"You back there thinking about Kinggggg" she sung like a little kid
"King Tyler" Nia froze and said with a surprising look on her face
" Yeah ,why" I said interested in why she gave that reaction
"Oh nothing, just be careful cuz I heard he was a player and once he get what he wants from you he's done" said Nia with a serious look
Damnnnnn I was hoping he wasn't one of those niggas 🤦🏿♀️
"I will, thanks for the heads up cuz but we're just friends anyway" I said as we approached the house

Later that night when everyone was off in there rooms I decided to call King . Iknow Nia warned me about him but I still wanted to be his friend
"Hello" King said
"Hey King , this is Laila"
"Oh, wassup Lai, why you ain't text me back earlier " King said
"Ohhh ,ummm" I said nervously
"Wassup, Ma spit it out " said King
And something about how chill his voice is made me just say it
"Look King , I wasn't completely honest with you earlier , I didn't move here because my parents are in the army I moved here because my parents abandoned me and my sister so we had to illegal things like steal to get by. Our whole lives haven't been easy, and all we have is each other . I know I shouldn't have lied but I didn't want you to treat me like a charity case and I still don't , I'm only telling you this because my phone has minutes and I can only call people and talk for a couple of minutes. I don't come from money and I want you to know the real me" I said with a huge sigh of relief
"Damn, Lai that's tough and I can't say iknow how you feel because I don't , but I can assure you I won't treat you any different , Understand?" He said
"Thank you" I said
"But I am going to let you use my other phone, and I ain't taking no for a answer okay ? And I better be the only nigga you calling on it to Lai" said King
"You don't have to—"
"I know I don't but I want to , now I'll see you tomorrow Lai , Goodnight Beautiful " King said
"Good night King" I said
I was speechless and blushing hard asf . Nia says player , I say gentleman 🤗
