Laila's POV
After King had dropped me off I lied in my bed replaying what he had said to me. I love you were words I heard rarely. My mother and father were addicts and never really showed much compassion toward me or my sister. I cant even remember the last time my mom even gave me a damn hug.
I know I do have strong feelings for King , but I dont even really know what love is. I tried to replay the conversation in my head.
"I love you Lai" King said
I said Huh.
He said "I love you ma, You dont have to say anything back I'm just letting you know how I feel, and when your ready I would hope you would do the same." King said with a grin
I nodded , gave him a kiss and got out the car.
I didnt mean to be rude, I just was so damn shocked.
"Sis?" I heard Lani whisper from across the room
"Yes?" I said jumping up a little startled.
"Are you okay, I have been listening to you toss and turn in your bed for the last 30 minutes." Lani said rising up in her bed in the dark.
"Honesty Idk sis, I can use some of your motherly advice right now." I said rising in my bed.
With that I heard Lani get out her bed and walk over to mine.
"Scoot over , and spill" she said as she climbed in my bed.
"Well tonight when King dropped me off , He said he loved me." I said
"Wow, and do you feel the same? What did you say" Lani whispered.
"I didnt say anything, I didn't know what to say. I don't know what love is and I want to mean it when I say it. Not just say it because he did." I told her.
"Well it seems like you took the words out my mouth. Sis , it's clear King really care about you and I know you do too but you don't have to feel pressured to feel a certain way just because he does. Move at your own pace , and I'm sure King will respect that." Lani said
"Thanks , Lani I needed that. I miss talking to you , it seems like you are more comfortable talking to Nia now." I said sounding a little sad.
"Nia is my favorite cousin but your my sister, my twin. No bond is greater and no one can come between that." Lani said as she gave me a kiss on the forehead and started to get out the bed.
"You're right sis, Love you Goodnight" I said .

The biggest smile came across my face as I read his message.
Good Morning my Handsome Boyfriend 😘♥️❗ I wrote back.
There's someone I want you to meet today. We'll be by at 3 and we can all go to the park. Kam texted.
Fine by me , I texted back.
I'm sure he's talking about his little sister Kayla. I cant wait to meet her because I love little kids and always wanted a younger sibling to boss around.
I hopped out of bed, took a shower, washed my face and brushed my teeth. I then went back into my room to pick out a cute yellow and pink sundress for today. I decided to wear my lace up sandals that go up to my knee.
When I was finished getting ready I went downstairs to chill with Nia and Laila.
"Oooo where you going looking like a snack," Nia said as she playfully slapped my butt.
"Out with Kam and his sister" I said with a chuckle.
"Yall are so cute ," Laila said smiling.
"Thanks sis." I said as I grabbed a banana off the table and began to peel it.
Buzzzzz
I'm outside bae , Kam texted
"Okay yall I'm about to go, I'll see yall later." I said as I walked out the kitchen and waved goodbye.
They both said bye in unison.
As I walked outside I saw Kamren looking handsome as usual. I also so a small little girl witha purple dress and her hair in two big puffs. When she saw me she gave me a big smile.
"Hey bae," Kamren said as he walked up and gave me a kiss on the cheek.
"Khalani this is my little sister Kayla, Kayla , this is my girlfriend Khalani."
Kayla ran up and gave me the biggest hug. "Nice to meet you Khalani , your so pretty." She said with a big smile.
"Why thank you, but I have to say you have me beat on the cuteness" I said as I picked her up and twirled her.
She giggled and said thank you.
"Okay yall, let's head to get some ice cream then go to the park. "
"Yayyy, thanks Kami" Kayla cheered as she ran to give Kamren a hug.
"Anything for you Kay," Kamren said as he gave Kayla a kiss on the cheek.
It was nice seeing the super soft side of my man.

When we finally made it to the park Kayla was full of energy from her icecream and ready to play.
"Can I go play Kami," Kayla said.
"Yes but stay close, me and Khalani will be sitting on this bench if you need us."
"Okay" she said running off to a slide.
"She is soooo cute I chuckled as we sat on the bench."
"She is , that lil girl is my everything, that's why I cant leave her with Joe when I graduate." Kamren said his tone changing a bit.
"It's okay baby, you will get custody of her and yall well never have to deal with him again." I said be reassuring.
"I hope so ," He said. "But enough with this sad stuff, how my girl doing on this beautiful Sunday." Kamren said sliding close to me wrapping his arm around me.
"I'm doing great, I'm out with my boyfriend and my new lil sister." I said smiling
"I'm glad yall like each other because your going to be around alot, Khalani. I really like you." Kamren said gazing in my eyes.
"I like you too" I said .
We enjoyed the rest our day as a new couple , and I have to say it was one of the best sundays I have had in a long time
