I appeared on the field twenty minutes late on purpose
The girls were gathered in a circle around coach Ann
I stood right next to Madison
"Hey, I've been looking all over for you" she said
"Sorry. I was a little bit irritated by something that's why I stormed off the way I did"
"Oh sorry"
"It's fine"
"Are you okay now?"
"Yes b"
"Good"
I looked around for Leslie. She was already staring at me from the opposite side
"Are you okay?" She mouthed
I nodded
"Thanks" I mouthed back
She gave me a thumbs up. I smiled at her
Football practice was going on at the other side of the field
I spotted Drew and some other guys doing push ups, probably part of their conditioning
He doesn't even look slightly heartbroken. It even seems like he's happy about the whole situation
That's what's hurting me the most. I cried my eyes out throughout the night. I couldn't get any sleep
The person I'm weeping for isn't even bothered at all
I shook my head and focused my attention back on Coach Ann
"Hi ladies" she spoke
"Hi coach"
"Today we have a new member on our team. Madison step out please"
"Wish me luck" Madison squeezed my hand
Whoa, chill out babe. You're getting a tad bit too comfortable
"Good luck"
"Thanks"
I patted her back before she walked into the middle of the circle. The girls clapped to support her
I didn't. I mean why would I?
Wolf whistles were heard from the guys of the football team

They'd die for anything in a crop top and mini skirt. I have to admit, she did look good in our uniform though
I looked at Drew to see his reaction. He winked at her which made her blush
I closed my eyes and took slow deep breaths

"Martins, is everything alright?" Coach asked me
All eyes were on me now. I flashed a sweet fake smile
"Of course. Everything's fine"
The football coach came on the field just in time to catch the boys staring at us instead of practicing
"What?" He screamed "I'm gone for fifteen minutes and this is what happens?"
We giggled.
"Ooh they got busted" Demi said
"All of you run fifty laps around track now" he blew his whistle
The boys groaned as they jogged to the tracks
