Chapter 11

I felt all air go out of my lungs after she announced the names.

People started congratulating them.

''How do you feel Martins?'' Leslie asked me.

I felt embarrassed.

I felt disappointed.

I felt ripped off my position.

I didn't respond. I just walked away. Amber is my friend and I should be happy for her but I wasn't.

I'm a way better dancer. I deserved it more than anyone on that team.

How come?

There's only one way to find out.

I knocked on Coach Ann's office door.

''Come in''

I entered inside.

Coach Ann was seated at her desk with her two legs on top her table.

''Good day, ma'am" I greeted.

''Hello Bella. How are you?"

''Not fine''

''Why's that?"

''I'd like to know why Amber is assistant and not me''

''What do you mean?''

''Please, we both know Leslie and I are the best dancers on the team so I demand an answer''

My blood was boiling at this point. I could do something that I'd regret later.

''I judged fairly. It's my concern who I give the positions to. I'm sorry if you feel otherwise''

''But coach.. ''

''No buts. I'll appreciate it if you leave my office''

I left and went to the locker room to change. After I was done, I went to my locker.

As I approached it, I saw a familiar figure leaning against it. I saw who it was when I got closer.

''Drew?"  I called.

He looked up from his phone.

''Hey'' he said.

''Hi. I haven't seen you all day''

''My bad, sorry''

''What's up?''

''Look, I watched the whole thing. You won that shit fair and square''

I rolled my eyes,

''Go tell that to Coach Ann''

"I wish I could. I'd smack the fuck out of her if she wasn't a woman"

I laughed.

Our conversation was cut short when Leslie came into view.

''What do you want now?'' I whined.

''You're the only person who didn't congratulate me. I feel sad''

''Congratulations. Are you happy now? Come on, Drew. Let's go''

I pulled him away from there.

''No need to be mean''

''Look who's talking. Your life is beyond fucked up" I retorted

She smirked,

''Says the girl who got dumped by her boyfriend for me. Didn't he take your virginity then leave because he was bored? Oh, and didn't your dad molest you. Whose life is fucked up?"
