"Will you marry me?"

Paulit ulit na nag eecho ang sinabi ni Kaeden kagabi sa kanya. She couldn't believe someone like Kaeden will ask him that but unfortunately it was not because he likes her nor he loves her. Kikiligin na sana sya kung hindi lang agad binawi ni Kaeden ang sinabi and explain everything.

"Hey, don't get me wrong. I mean. Ugh! How can I explain this. I know this may sounds crazy but I badly need your help." Kaeden lean on the couch and heave a deep sigh bago ulit umayos ng upo at inilagay ang dalawang kamay sa iabaw ng lamesa at saka pinaksalikop ito.

"Okay, are you willing to listen to my problem?" Napataas ang kilay ni Thamara. "Uhm, that's why I'm here right? Kasi kailangan mo ng kausap.You're being weird Kaeds." She giggled.

"I know, I know. Okay Listen. My mom wanted me to get married else ipapakasal nya ako sa anak ng kaibigan nya.whom I don't love."

"Owkayyyy? And?"

"Jannah is a nice girl but I really don't want to get married. So I need a girl to pretend to be my wife. Well, technically we will not get married, you'll just have to pretend to be my wife when mom visit here in the philippines. Let's convince her that I am happily married para hindi na nya ako guluhin pa or ipakasal sa kung kani kanino, until I find the one."

"Wow! You're such a hopeless romantic Kaeds. Naniniwala ka pa sa "the one"? you're making me laugh. Haha"

For a moment Thamara saw pain registered in Kaeden's face but it suddenly went out. She's not sure if it is pain or sadness. Umayos sya ng upo at tumingin kay Kaeden twitching her lips. "Okay, go ahead."

"Just a pretend wife. You're free to date anyone. And besides, hindi naman magtatagal si mama ng pagbisita dito sa pinas. She doesn't even want to live here. Maybe a week or two? Just like that."

"Why me? For sure kapag nag advertise ka na you're looking for a pretend wife, girls would go gaga over you, na maging asawa mo."

"But they're not you. And that's what I want. No string attached. Just a pretend one. And it will takes time to find one kasi in less than two weeks dadating na si Mama"

"wala ka bang ex-girlfriend?"

"She's on the states"

"Fliing?"

"I don't have."

"Girl friends? I mean friend na girl?"

"You."

Napatanga na lang si Thamara sa sinabi ni Kaeden. She was shookt, sya lang ba ang kaibigang babae ni Kaeden? To think wala pang one week silang nagiging close sa isa't isa.

"Paano sa office? And what will I get if I agreed with your crazyness?"

"Anything you want. Name it."

"Sports car! Yung red!

"That's it? Easy!"

"And a shopping worth $10000 in New York."

Napapailing na nakangiti si Kaeden. "Are you being serious? I think you're the type of girl who's not a shopaholic."

"Akala mo lang yun!" natatatwang sabi ni Thamara. Naputol ang usapan nila ng dumating ang inorder ni Kaeden na isa pang bucket ng beer.

"Oh I change my mind. I want a staycation at Santorini Greece for a month." Nakangisi si Thamara kay Kaeden and the latter twitch his lips thinking of something saka tumango tango.
