Chapter 5

Xavier

I had no other choice but to go down to Miami for a couple of days. The faster that I get everything done the faster I can go back home. When I got there as expected women started to throw themselves at me. Not trying to brag or anything but it really happened.

" Thank you Alpha Gaft for letting me stay at your pack house."

"Nonsense boy you know that you're always welcome here whenever. But, where's that mate of yours? Have you found her yet?"

Suddenly, my mood got sour. Well, if I would have found my mate wouldn't she be next to me!!

" I apologize Beta Xavier, I didn't mean to intrude."

" It's fine don't worry about it. I will be with her one day." Please moon goddess, please let our paths cross.

" You know if it helps you feel any better. I found Harper when I was 37. The moon goddess sure made me wait for my female."

I stayed silent receiving the information I just heard. Wow he's already 43 and he found his mate at 37. Us Lycans don't really age as humans do. So, when someones in their 50's their health and bodies are about around a 20 year old.

After, Alpha Gaft showed me my room I decided to unpack and rest for tonight. As soon as I woke up I got ready. I decided to put a fitted black button down shirt, nice pants, and fancy shoes since Alpha Gaft said we were going to a restaurant.

Skoll has been on edge ever since we arrived to Miami. I've asked him many times if he was OK. I only got silence in return. I was not enjoying the lack of communication. It was really irking me at this point. My frustration was to the roof now.

I met with Alpha Gaft in the car to go to the restaurant. I was really hungry I hadn't eaten nothing the whole day since I got to this territory.

We finally got to the restaurant. I saw bright lights saying " Ola Restaurant". But, as soon as I paid attention to everything else around me I saw a huge line. I kept my face calm but in the inside I was already fired up. I was starving! Now, I know we were here to talk about pack business but right now I needed food!

Something then magical happened. Alpha Gaft told me he owned the restaurant. I think whoever above me was watching over for me. As soon as we walked in the doors my heart stopped. Everything was a blur I could only smell a scent. This scent was a smell that I had never smelled before. It was addictive I kept my nose high trying to figure out this smell. Was it the food from the restaurant? Skoll began to growl. So, I take the hint that it wasn't that. Then it clicked! M A T E

" Mate is here. Look for her." Skoll said

"Yes, I know. Where could she be? Wow you seriously answer me after all this time." Skoll just growls at my response.

I noticed that Alpha Gaft was beginning to go a different direction from where that wonderful smell was. I caught up to him and asked him if we could sit somewhere more secluded and closer to my mate.

I followed him and began to approach where my mate was seated.  As we passed close by her I heard her voice say " it's such a waste of time". What? What was such a waste of time? I was curious. I couldn't see her face as I walked by. She had her head low and had her left hand on the side of her face. As we made it to our table I figured out her smell. She had almost like this raspberry and coconut smell. It's a smell that I couldn't get enough of. All I wanted to do is go to her and take her with me. Skoll growled in agreement. I did want to know how come she didn't feel my presence. She didn't once move as soon as I came into the restaurant. I'm not going to lie I was kind of hurt.

We were seated in a corner. The place was dim lighted and there was a lot movement. But, none of that mattered. I found my mate I finally found her. All I could tell was that she was wearing a off the shoulder light blue dress with floral prints on it. Then, I notice her beautiful set of locks. She had her hair reach to her waist and it was brown. Oh the the things that I could do pulling her hair. If only she could move her hand so I could see her face my life would be complete. As I thought of that she finally put her hand down. I was mesmerized. I couldn't stop looking at her. She was one of the most if not the most beautiful woman I ever saw in my life. My heart was beating fast and I bet Alpha Gaft was able to hear it. But, I didn't care. At this moment all that mattered right now was my mate.

" She's the one isn't she? Which one is she? Is she the only with the black dress or the one with the blue one?" Alpha Gaft said

"Blue". That was the only word that left my mouth. I couldn't form any sentences at this moment.

Then, she looked up and we locked eyes. One look and that's all it took for me to know she was the one... she was my mate. Time stood still. I now understand when they say it was love at first sight. She was flawless. She had the most beautiful small eyes, the cutest set of lips and eyebrows that were considered art to me. But, as soon as she looked at me she looked away. I felt that knives were stabbed to my chest. All I could think was look back at me. I heard Skoll whine.

" Mate doesn't love us. She doesn't want us."

" STOP IT. She doesn't recognize us or the bond. Don't worry we will figure this out".

Alpha Gaft and I continued our time here. I wasn't moving from here until my mate did. To be honest I didn't even pay attention to half of the things that Alpha Gaft was saying. I would zone in and out from the conversation. I was trying to hear my mate speak to the other girl with her. I then noticed her getting up to leave. I got up immediately. I was about to speak to my mate and my heart felt that it was going to come out off my chest. Please don't leave.

** Phewwwwww. This was a long chapter. FINALLY! Xavier finally found his mate. He's so cute I literally cant. The next chapter will be Salomé! Stay tuned. BTW do you guys like short or long chapters?** vote and commnet <3
