Nothing? She truly thinks her work is nothing? Brian wondered as he paged through the black sketchbook he'd seen before leaving the bar. After Lacey had acted as if it didn't mater if she found her work or not, he'd stashed the black covered book away in his instrument case and taken it home. At tomorrow's practice he'd give it to Jae to give to his sister, but first he needed to feed his curiosity. He'd always liked a good mystery and Lacey was a mystery inside of a mystery glazed over an even bigger mystery, packaged in a cute grunge rock packaging. On the first page in the corner was the date of the first drawing. "Holy shit 2012!? I've discovered a fossil!" Brian exclaimed as he reverted his attention to the actual drawing itself. It sent shivers down his spine as he examined the interesting voodoo- like artwork. It was a drawing of a girl with antlers, black pinned up hair, one fully white eye and one fully black eye. Her hands extended out in front of her, fingers poised as they seemed to knit daintily with a spider web. The arachnid itself crawled up her boney fingers. It was extremely terrifying, would most definitely haunt his nightmares, but it was impressive. As he flipped through her work it went back and forth between undeniable beauty or heart-aching cuteness, and creepy ghoulish things.

It added some depth to Lacey's unfurling character. Although Brian knew it was a kind of dumb move on his behalf, he couldn't ignore this conversation starter. So like any guy with a crush he picked up his phone.

Brian; thank you for giving me nightmares ;;

He waited awhile, maybe ten or so minutes before Lacey pinged back with:

Lacey; Do I even want to know?

Brian; you left your sketchbook at the bar, little-miss- I- didn't- lose- anything

Lacey; BRIAN YOU STALKER THAT IS A HUGE INVASION OF MY PRIVACY!!!!

Brian; chill it's not like it's a diary.

Lacey; dear diary, today Brian stole my sketchbook. I hate him.

Brian; that scares me even more :(((

Lacey; me hating you?

Brian; well obviously you're some creepy witch doctor. What if you like hex me or something.

Lacey; I could.... but that would make my brother way too happy

Brian; Boi Jae loves me

Lacey; love? Hate? Love- hate? Passive aggressive? Weird? What's the difference you both meet all the criteria

Brian; wow do you always attack people to their faces?

Lacey; LOOP HOLE it's not to your face because my face is facing my phone as is yours.

Brian; I hate you

Lacey; oof my heart just skipped a beat

Brian couldn't help his cheesy grin as he shut off his phone putting it on his nightstand by the bed. It was dark outside, the moon shining bright enough to illuminate the trees and cast creepy shadows throughout the room. Between her creepy art and Lacey's bewitching personality he knew his sleep would be limited. Yet, it was a sacrifice he was happy to make.
