The computer screen glowed in the dark in front of me. On it were pages and pages of news articles from the past of Lunville. Once Chris dropped me off, my curiosity grew on the wolf population of this town.

"Only two were ever sighted," I read out loud, "But from signs and marks in this town and moutainside, there is reported to be over fifty and growing." I whistled, careful to not make too much noise as from what I can tell, everyone else is asleep.

As I scrolled through more and more articles, it just seemed to get more interesting, eventually coming up to the idea of 'werewolves'. I snorted, but immediately regretted it, as my past had not been much different in the level of 'oddness'. And then something caught my eye, Luna Park, Lunville VT. As I read into the story, it had been closed decades ago because of an accident there. A couple from out of town was visiting and had planned a picnic in the park, their disappearance was noticed a day later, and a week later their remains were found washed up on a shore not too far away from the park. They had been covered in bites, and gashes of missing chunks of skin and muscle were found all over their body. The case went unsolved and then gone a few years afterwards. This scared off future vacationers and tourists.

Suddenly curious, I searched it up, and the park was still there but now no longer a park but a piece of the government's property. They closed it down and prevented people from trespassing and visiting. I frowned, but the accident has been a while ago, there probably won't be many 'authority figures' lingering around.

Grabbing one of the many duffel bags in my closet, I stuffed extra clothes, a flashlight, and a camera in the bag to prepare for tomorrow. I chose to skip school, though Shannon insisted on bringing me to school for the rest of the week, which was fine to me. Slipping the bag under the bed, I shut the laptop and hoped that a wolf chose to have a little adventure in the woods at the same time as me.

"Good night, mommy, daddy." I whispered, realizing this was almost exactly like the night before it happened.
