A/N Okay so two chapters in one day ? I know, I know, I'm very humble. This one is much longer so I hope you're happy. I had some free time so I decided why not.

~Iris~

Its been a while since I first met Oliver. I was about 3 back then, now I'm almost 10. I've learned a lot in the time that I have been with him.

I know can speak english pretty fluently although I'm still learning. He's brought me to regular school just like the other kids and treats me as if I'm his own. We sometimes go out for ice cream or a nice breakfast meal if he feels like it.

I love him like my own father, not really knowing any different. To be blatantly honest, I don't really remember that day too well except for the blood smacking against the door in front of me, crying uncontrollably, then it all stopped when Oliver saved me. When I felt truly like I was home.

He said since I'm nearing my 10th birthday that there is going to be a big surprise. We never really do much of surprises, more of him just taking me out and going somewhere really cool. He said that we are going somewhere very special this time. I wonder if its an amusement park, or maybe a water park. I love water parks, they way that nobody really looks at you when you're there, all you do is have fun.

"Hey Dad, where are we gonna go for my birthday? I know you said that it was a surprise, but I'm just dying to know."

"You're just gonna have to wait till we get there Iris. You know I'm not one to ruin and good bit of suspicion. "

"Ughh, come on. Just one detail. Pleaseeee?"

I looked up at him with big puppy dog eyes. My shiny discoloured red ones staring back at his warm white ones.

"Fine. Just one hint. Then nothing more. You know I can't deny you when you pull that charade on me."

I smiled happily knowing that I broke him. He always caved for me.

"Just one alright?"

"Yess Dad, I knowww. Now come on, spill the beans"

I was dying to know what he was gonna say. I had no idea what was going on in his mind.

He finally spoke after what felt like an eternity of waiting.

"The forest"

"What?"

"The forest. We are going to the forest for your birthday."

"What? Why are we going to the forest?"

Thoughts were racing through my head as to why we were going to the forest. We hadn't really ever been there before, so why now has he chosen to go; on my birthday much less. I needed more information, though I knew he wouldn't spill. He was stubborn like that, but it made everything so much more interesting for me.

Over the next few days I knew my tactics, and studied my target well. I knew how to get to him, I just needed to proceed with caution. Can't make it too obvious so he'll notice right away, but not blatant enough that he has no idea.

I trotted up to my dad and assessed the area well. I had been studying, and I knew what to do. I could see my father sitting at the counter top sipping on his coffee. I slid right up next to him and laid my elbow on the counter space. I laid my plan out smoothly and began;
