The Power Of Shinobi (Naruto x Gaara)

Chapter Ten.

The sky was glowing with an orange light as the sun began to rise. The group woke up the and immediately began moving again.

"How far are we now Pakkun?" Kakashi questions.

"Around ten minutes. We have to be careful around here" Pakkun replied.

Everyone's face held determination as they got closer and closer to the hide out.

"Who are these people even?" Kankuro questions.

"All we know is that there SS class criminals that had ties with the Akatsuki" Kakashi replied.

They reach an opening in he trees. Carefully stepping out they see a cave entrance.

"They must be in there!" Temari whisper yelled.

"Right, I'm going to teach them a lesson" Gaara muttered.

"Sakura, would you like to do the honours?" Kakashi asks turning in her direction.

"Aren't we supposed to be quiet?" Temari questions.

"If they're SS class criminals they should be able to recognise our chakras anyway..." Shikamaru points out.

"Well how was I supposed to know?" Temari huffed turning around. She hated admitting when she was wrong. And everyone knew it.

"Troublesome woman" he mutters.

"Hey! What did you-"

"Temari. This is no time for arguing" Gaara cut her off. She immediately became quiet. Knowing this meant so much to him.

"My pleasure sensei" Sakura replies raising her glove further up her hand.

"Cha!" She shouted as her fist came in contact with the boulder blocking the cave. It immediately shattered into pieces. The colour drained from Kankuro's face. "Remind me to never get her angry again" he muttered.

"Hmph!" She huffed.

"Well it was true. You do evolve from a line of bubblegum monsters. It's a very old race that died out because of their stupidity. Your one of the only ones left!" Kankuro explains. Sakura was getting angrier until she hit him fiercely on the head.

"You moron!"

"Well he kinds of deserves that" Gaara murmured under his breath.

"I see where your coming from" Temari agrees.

"I've had enough of this" Neji states starting to make his way into the cave.

"I don't really blame him" Shikamaru shrugs. Starting to follow him, Kakashi following in suite.

Gaara and Temari give each other a side glance before nodding and running into the cave.

Sakura gives him one last punch before also running in after them. Leaving Kankuro on the floor.

Ten minutes later Kankuro caught up with the group. They finally come to a room. They slightly open it to find Naruto.

"Naruto!" They exclaim looking at him. He was handcuffed to the chair and looking at he floor.

"You guys actually came?!?" Naruto questioned. His mood lighting up. He feels his cheeks reddening at the sight of Gaara. Sakura giggles while making a heart sign which Temari and Shikamaru quickly catch onto.

"Oh so you actually came? I'm impressed. I thought I would actually have to kill him" A voice rung out behind them.

"There they are! Them bastards!" Naruto warns pulling at his handcuffs.

"Shikamaru quickly goes behind Naruto to try and undo the handcuffs.

"There Chakra draining handcuffs. Which explains why you haven't got out of them. Quite strong metal too" Shikamaru mutters.

"I figured that out on my own!" Naruto sweatdrops.

Two figures stepped into the light to reveal these 'SS' class criminals.

They both were wearing black and blue swirled capes. One had a strange black hair style no one could figure out what it actually was supposed to be. He had a large bald strapped to his back with an extremely serious expression on his face.

The other one, was covered head to toe in bandages. They could just about catch a glimpse of blonde hair right on the top of his head. He had a emotionless facade that was quite scary to most people.

"What do you want?" Kakashi growled. He wasn't going to allow another one of his students to get hurt, or Naruto hurt further.

"Kohana's Scroll of Sealing" the one with the bandages replies.

"Wait- that one! That will put the village in danger!" Sakura exclaims.

"I have no clue what that scroll is" Temari admits.

"It's a scroll that contains Jōnin level Justsu's and higher, it's a prized scroll and could seriously put the villages at risk when in the wrong hands" Kakashi explains.

"Well that actually sucks" Kankuro thinks out loud causing everyone to sweat drop.

"I've had enough of this" Gaara informs.

"Sand Tsunami!" He shouts, a massive wave of sand comes crashing down onto them.

"Right, guess we're in a fight. Shikamaru stay with Naruto to get the cuffs off. The rest of us fight them. We'll split into teams of two. Me Sakura, and Neji fight the one with the executioners blade. Gaara, you, Temari and Kankuro take the one with the bandages" Kakashi orders.

Gaara nods his head in understanding.

They both split up. Leaving Naruto and Shikamaru alone. The only thought running through Gaara's head was:

'I'm going to teach him a lesson. And that is not to mess with those who are important to me.'
