(F/N) banged his sword against his shield to intimidate the troll, (F/N) smiled as he saw the troll take a few steps back. (F/N) was a god, one of the most feared Aesir gods alive, third only to Thor and Odin. (F/N) pointed his sword to the sky, the troll suddenly let out a blood curdling roar, as the skies darkened. A funnel cloud touched down and met the point of (F/N)'s sword, the metal of the sword glowed white.

The giant troll ran at (F/N), but he banged his shield to the ground, the earth started to shake, (F/N)'s shield was enchanted s well. (F/N) smiled, as the troll fell due to the earth shaking, (F/N) moved his sword and swung it towards the troll like a bat. The tornado suddenly moved right at the troll, the troll was carried off the ground. (F/N) stared at the troll as the small tornado threw it far away. (F/N) smirked, "It's safe now," suddenly magic roots erupted from the ground, and the goddess Freya appeared. Freya barely acknowledged (F/N), he honestly didn't care, he didn't like her, she didn't like him.

The only reason (F/N) was here was because Odin had cursed him. All (F/N) did was order a tactical retreat, (F/N) saved many lives but Odin didn't see it that way. He had brought shame onto all the Aesir, by showing such weakness, according to Odin at least. To 'earn his place back' (F/N) was tasked with a 'mission with the up most importance,' Freya's personal guard. (F/N) suspected it was just another way to get back at his former wife.

Odin felt that Freya needed to be protected, since he had taken away her ability to harm others, "to preserve peace throughout the land," is what he said. (F/N) would have preferred death, (F/N) couldn't stand the Vanir goddess, he couldn't stand any of the Vanir. But Odin felt it was justice to curse (F/N), he couldn't leave Midgard, he always had to be within a mile of the goddess, and he couldn't harm her.

(F/N) had learned the last rule the hard way, he had tried to kill Freya, Odin had shown him the consequences, to his actions. (F/N) had hated the goddess, at first, but she had grown on him, now he just slightly loathed her. (F/N) sheathed his sword of the winds, but kept his shield out, Freya walked over to the entrance of the temple the troll had been guarding. The temple was blocked by a rock, "War Monger, the boulder, get rid of it," (F/N) sighed and walked over. (F/N) gestured for Freya to get out of the way, and slammed his shield against the boulder, the stone, crumpled into smaller rocks. (F/N) pulled his sword out and pointed to the front of him, the wind picked up and pushed the rock into the temple. (F/N) turned to Freya, "Anything else your majesty?" Freya just walked inside the temple, normally she would have insulted (F/N), but the goddess was accepting her fate, (F/N) wasn't leaving any time soon.

(F/N) looked down at his sword, it controlled the wind, while his shield was designed to send shock waves through the earth. (F/N) smiled, remembering how Odin had gifted them to him, as a reward for winning the great war against the dark elves. (F/N) sheathed his weapons, and followed Freya, he followed looking around vigilantly. That was one of the perks of guarding Freya, always plenty of monsters to fight and kill, plus it was nice travelling around midgard. Freya rarely spoke to (F/N), unless she needed something from him, (F/N) didn't care, he did whatever she wanted it was easier that way. (F/N) had an odd feeling about the temple, "Were not alone," (F/N) said to Freya. Freya didn't stop walking or turn her head, "Then you can murder them," (F/N) sighed Freya pulled out her bow, when she saw a light crystal. "Ljósta!" she said, firing an arrow, a light bridge formed, (F/N) walked across making sure to stay close to (F/N). If anything were to happen to her, Odin would make him pay dearly.

(F/N) looked at the walls, and he saw it a shrine, to a goddess, Frigg to be exact. "Freya," the goddess turned, she saw the shrine as well, (F/N) knew who Frigg was, "Do you want me to destroy it?" Freya looked at the shrine, she was obviously mad at the use of the name. "Please do," (F/N) didn't need to be told twice, he slammed his shield against it, and the shrine was destroyed.

(F/N) turned to Freya, he felt bad for the goddess, Odin had ordered that all her achievements be attributed to Frigg. (F/N) did feel bad for Freya, if his accomplishments in battle were attributed to someone else he would be just as angry. (F/N) caught up to Freya, he chose not to bring up the subject. (F/N) heard rustling and looked up, draugrs, he swallowed, the creatures were looking at him and Freya. (F/N) looked at the goddess, she had noticed them as well, "we might be in a nest," Freya nodded in agreement, "we might have to turn back, i'm not sure I can take them all on and protect you." Freya shook her head, "That's not an option," (F/N) looked at the goddess, "Why? What is in this temple?" Freya looked at (F/N), she was about to reply but, a draugr, threw a fireball at the pair. (F/N) couldn't have been quicker, he moved his shield and blocked it easily. (F/N) threw his sword at the draugr, the second the sword hit it, the draugr split in half, (F/N) called the sword back to him. The draugr's in the cave moved back and yelled at the pair, "Whatever you're looking for you need to find it quickly."

(F/N) put his sword back in the sheath, Freya looked at him, "We should keep moving." (F/N) sighed, 'a thank you would have been nice.' (F/N) looked back at the draugr's as the pair kept moving, "Why did Odin curse you?" (F/N) looked at Freya, her question had caught him off guard, "I chose to put the lives of my men over victory, and the All-father in his infinite wisdom expelled me to midgard." Freya and (F/N) came upon a door, "That's one thing we do have in common, we both know Odin's wrath personally." (F/N) smiled at Freya, If he hadn't known any better, he would have thought she was trying to be nice. (F/N) then turned his attention back to the door, he grasped the handle of the sword, "Do you want the door open?" Freya turned to look at (F/N), "No, this I can do." Freya suddenly pulled out a knife and started carving a symbol on the door, she was speaking a dialect he didn't understand. (F/N) looked at the door, it was big, and it was made of asgardian steel, (F/N) would know it anywhere. (F/N) suddenly realized something, Odin had put this door here, and for whatever reason he wouldn't want it opened.

(F/N) suddenly heard more hissing, (F/N) turned around and saw draugrs their had to be hundreds of them. (F/N) looked at Freya, "Draugr's incoming, you need to hurry up," Freya didn't acknowledge him, (F/N) pulled out his sword and pointed it at the draugr's. (F/N) glared at his sword, the draugr's were slowing down but they weren't stopping, it didn't work well indoors or in caves, (F/N) pulled out his shield, he was about to charge. (F/N) started running when suddenly roots erupted from the ground and blocked the draugr's path, (F/N) turned back to look at Freya, the door was open and she was looking at him.

"How long has that door been open?" (F/N) asked Freya, "long enough," she replied, (F/N) sheathed both his weapons and walked past Freya. (F/N) wasn't sure of it but he thought he saw Freya smiling at him as soon as he walked past her. (F/N) looked around the room that the door had been guarding, it was dark, but their was a hole on the ceiling, leaving a light pointing to the center of the room.

(F/N) looked at the center, it was a pedestal with a necklace on it. (F/N) walked over to it, and held out his hand to grasp it, Freya grabbed his hand to stop him. (F/N) looked at her, "What? What is that?" (F/N) looked at the necklace, "Brísingamen, it's magic, I need it for a spell" (F/N) looked at Freya, "We should go. Those draugr's are going to find another way in here." Freya nodded, (F/N) glanced back at the roots she had used to block their path, the draugrs were taring through. (F/N) took out his shield, he looked at Freya, she nodded again, he walked over to the roots. With all his strength, (F/N) slammed the shield down, (F/N) was thrown back by the strength of the earth, it felt like the earth was literally splitting open. (F/N) almost blacked out, Freya quickly helped him up, "That was interesting." (F/N) said as he stood up, Freya began to walk through the rubble, "I didn't know you were that strong," (F/N) shrugged, "neither did I."

(F/N) followed her through the hole, the draugr's had either been crushed under the rubble or ran off from fright. (F/N) kept his sword ready, just in case a draugr got brave, (F/N) saw the the entrance to the temple and followed Freya through it. (F/N) smiled as he felt the sun on him, he had never thought he would be so glad to see the outside of midgard again. (F/N) looked at Freya, she was already looking at him, "Thank you. I won't forget the service you have done to help me." (F/N) nodded, not mentioning that Odin had forced him to do whatever she asked of him. Freya held out her arm, (F/N) grabbed it, and shook it. (F/N) still loathed the Vanir goddess, and Freya loathed the Aesir god, but the pair now had a mutual respect for one another.
