Ally flipped to a clean page in her songbook, then laid her delicate hands out over the piano keys. A tune popped into her head, and she smiled. Austin was nowhere to be found; perfect. Now he wouldn't know it was about him.

"You smile like the sun when no one else is around, picking up pieces of the broken heart. Shattered to the ground,  you turned it all around. A long time gone but now I found ya. There's no way I'm going anywhere without ya. Broken was what I was; you made me what I've become. Something brand new that can make anyone fall again. Now, I wanna be more than a friend.

Chill out and lay back now. Throw your shoes up on the couch. Let me see the smile I love so. Toss your hair back from laughter, and tell me all about it after. Tell me you've never felt this way before. 'Cause I've been waiting for so long. So I wrote you this song to show you what you mean to me. Look into my eyes and don't tell me anymore lies about how we aren't meant to be.

You have to stand up to the world; show them it's everything that you see. Babe I know it sounds wrong, but would you please believe in me. Because I'm looking for the truth, and you're the only thing that can set me free. So won't you just, believe in me. Won't you just, believe in me."

She smiled, playing the last note and began to write vigorously in her songbook. Then, she heard a slow, steady clapping.
