The Third Part Of Me ~Hikaru, Haruhi, Kaoru

Chapter 5

Hikaru's POV

Its only gonna be another hour before I go confess my love to Haruhi in the correct way. I won't force a kiss onto her. No. I have this whole plan set up to show her how special she is to me. Tongiht is gonna be perfect. Nothing can go wrong.

The door opens and I turn to see Kaoru is back. He looks nervous. I wonder why.

"What's wrong?"

He looks up at me as he closes the door covering up his real emotions.

"Nothing Hikaru, you look nice."

I look down at my body to see I did put on a fancy outfit.

"Do you think its too much?" I look back up at him.

Kaoru walks over to me and smirks. I look at him confusedly until he adjusts my tie. He turns me around to face the mirror. His arms wrap around neck and dangle over my chest.

"You look handsome as always, brother."

I stare into the reflection of my brother and I. I could see something was on his mind. My hand reaches for his and he seems startled by it.

"What is wrong."

Kaoru looks away from us. "Nothing that is more important than tonight."

I use my other hand to turn his head in the direction of the mirror. He looks into my eyes through the reflection.

"Nothing is more important than my brother."

Kaoru then looks at me as I look at him. He sits on my laps and straddles me. His arms still around my neck.

"Hikaru, I love you. My little worries about school is not gonna ruin tonight. Now go to her before it gets dark."

I smile and nod. Kaoru gets off of me and I walk over to the bed and grab the roses I picked earlier while Kaoru was out. I walk over to the door and turn to my brother and smile before closing the door behind me.

Kaoru's POV

I just lied straight to his face to get him out of here. I could I tell Hikaru what's really on my mind? I haven't even told him that Haruhi and so kissed and held hands. I may be the worse twin brother ever. I hope tonight changes for the better for Hikaru. I wish him the best of luck.

I walk over to the bed and lie down. I close my eyes and instead of seeing the darkness behind my eye lids; I see Haruhi. I see us holding hands and kissing. I open my eyes to see the ceiling and to feel my hands holding each other.

Hikaru's POV

I walk down the hall of the manor and out the door into the starry night. The stars guide me to the garden maze where I am stunned to see a beautiful Haruhi standing there. I freeze and observe her. Painting the image of her facing the stars in her pink dress with the huge hedge or roses behind her. She turns to me and knocks me out of my mind. I continue to walk over to her with the roses behind my back.

"Hey."

"Hi."

"You look beautiful."

"You look handsome."

I blush a little and look down at my feet.

"I have something for you."

"You do?"

I look up from the ground to see her beautiful brown puppy eyes staring into mine. I pull the roses out from behind me and hand them to her. Her eyes widen and her cheeks grow pink.

"Wow.. That's thoughtful. Roses are my favorite."

I smile. "Anything for you Haruhi."

Her eyes turn from the roses and into my eyes. I know what I have to do, but the night is only beginning.

"Come on!" I laugh as I run pass her into the garden maze.

Haruhi turns and looks at me. "Where are you going?"

"Follow me."

Haruhi smiles and runs after me.

Haruhi's POV

I run into the maze after Hikaru. I turn in the direction he did, but I couldn't find him. I slowly walk further.

"Hikaru?"

"GrrAUH!"

I jump a little as these two arms wrap around my bod. I laugh a bit when I realize that Hikaru was standing behind me holding me in his arms. I lay my head back into his chest and look up. He looks down and smiles. Then Hikaru's lips softly press against my forehead. My eyes widen and smile creeps up upon my face. Hikaru then spins me around and holds me close to his chest. I take a step back and look up into his eyes.

"Haruhi... there's something I need to tell you." Hikaru takes a hold of my free hand. "I.. I love you Haruhi. I've loved you from the moment we met. Even when thought you were a boy I loved you. I love everything about you. I know this morning I was acting irrationally when I kissed you, but I meant it. I mean everything I am saying. I love you and I will not let anything hurt you, Haruhi."

I stare into his eyes in shock. This whole time I thought this was sime sick joke, but if Hikaru is being serious then he does love me. I take a step closer to him and I lean into his lips. His hands wrap around my waist and the back of my head. He pulls me closer to him and deepens the kiss.

Tonight was the last day of summer, the first morning of school, the last day of working, I have shared a kiss with both of the hitachiins brothers, and I feel some thing for the both of them, but right now I am with Hikaru and he told me he loves me. Maybe that is what I am feeling... Love.
