The Third Part Of Me ~Hikaru, Haruhi, Kaoru

Chapter 8

Haruhi's POV

What is going with Haruhi? Ever since I confessed to her she's been acting weird. So has Kaoru, but I know he likes her and right now it makes sense for him to be acting funny. He is just adjusting to be alright with it.

I walk into the school and I see Haruhi walking down the hall. She looks distracted. I wonder what she is thinking about. I should hi.

"Hey Haruhi."

Haruhi seems off guard when I call her.

"Oh, hey Hikaru. I didn't see you there."

I laugh a bit. "That's ok. Can I walk you to class?"

"Oh, I'm not going to class."

"Where are you going?"

"To the library to check out some books."

"Ew. I'll see you in class I guess."

"Yeah, I'll see you then."

Haruhi smiles softly at me and then continues walking down the hall to the library. She's so cute and smart. I should have gone with her, but the library isn't for me.

I turn down the hall in the other direction. Then I see Kaoru. He's walking my way. He seems distracted too.

"Hey brother."

I catch him off guard too.

"Hey Hikaru, what's going on?"

"Nothing really, just saw Haruhi."

"Oh! Has she talked to you about your confession?" Kaoru asks a little jealously.

"Not yet. I am giving her time though."

"That may be for the best."

"You're right. Anyways where are you going? Class is that way."

"Yeah I've got get some books first."

"Whoa, you too?"

"Huh?" Kaoru looks at me a but confused.

"What, is there something I am missing at the library?" I joke.

Kaoru seems to tense up. "Nope, nothing you are missing. I gotta go though, I'll see you later."

Before I could say anything Kaoru takes off in the same direction as Haruhi did. Huh. Maybe I am missing something.

Haruhi's POV

I arrived at tge library shortly after my brief conversation with Hikaru. I feel so dirty. I mean I am here to pick up new books, but that's not all.

The door opens and there's Kaoru. Right on time. He looks around to see that there's no one else, but me here.

"Haruhi?" He whispers.

"Kaoru." I whisper back.

He looks in my direction and smiles. He walks towards me. He comes behind the book stand where I am and stands next to me.

"Hey cutie."

"Hey handsome."

"You ran into him too?"

"Yeah.."

"We shouldn't be doing this."

I take a hold of his hand.

"I know.. Its not that I don't like him its just I like the both of you. I can't like one with out liking the other."

"I get that, I really do, but it isn't fair to Hikaru or to me."

"I know.. I hate myself for this."

He caresses my cheek. "Don't hate yourself. I love you and so does Hikaru. Its our fault for putting the weight of our love on your shoulders. Sure this isn't fair to us, but it isn't fair to you either."

I look up to Kaoru and then lean into his lips. He doesn't fight with me as he leans in and kisses me as well. Kaoru picks me up and I wrap my legs around him. He holds ne up against the book shelf as we continue to to kiss. He deepens the kiss as he bites my lower lip for an opening. I slightly part my lips as he slides his tongue in and starts exploring the inside of my mouth. My hands grip onto the back of his shirt.

"Haruhi..?"

Kaoru and I stop moving. We didn't hear the door open, but we for sure heard Hikaru's voice.

"Hikaru.." Kaoru says.

"What's going on?"

Kaoru lets me down and I walk over to Hikaru with Kaoru right behind me. Hikaru looks destroyed in confused.

"You don't love me.." Hikaru says.

"Hikaru..."

"No you love him.."

"I love you both equal and a lot. If you're gonna ask me to choose its impossible."

Hikaru and Kaoru look at each other knowing that what I said was the truth.

"What if you don't have to choose?" Kaoru speaks up.

Hikaru and I both look at Kaoru confused to what he said. He then walks over to Hikaru and presses his lips against Hikaru's. His eyes widen as his brother took him by surprised with a sinful kiss. Hikaru slowly relaxed into the kiss as his eyes close and his hand takes Kaoru's. They both then walk over to me hand in hand. I now know what Kaoru meant. I then kiss Hikaru softly then I kiss Kaoru the same way. We then all hug and our new relationship was form.
