The Third Part Of Me ~Hikaru, Haruhi, Kaoru

Chapter 7

Kaoru's POV

Today is tge first day of school and the first day I'm not walking into class with Hikaru. He hurried off to fund Haruhi. The thought of them being happy kills me inside and I don't know why. I should be happy for Hikaru. Ugh.

"Hey Kaoru!"

I turn around to see Tamaki walking behind me with a goofy smile on his face.

"Whats up boss?"

"Have you seen Haruhi today?"

"No."

"Huh. Wait. Where's Hikaru? What are you two planning?"

"Honestly, nothing. And I don't know where he is."

"Huh... Weird. Are you two fighting again..?"

"No. He's just excited to see Haruhi so he went looking for her."

"Sounds like a plan! First one to find Haruhi is gold!"

"Boss.. Hikaru confessed to Haruhi."

Tamaki turns white and falls to the floor.

"It should have been me confessing to her." Tamaki speaks, mainly to himself.

It should have been me..

I take this chance to head to class before saying more. When I walk into class I see Haruhi sitting by herself. Hikaru is no where insight. I walk over to our desk and sit in my seat next to her. Haruhi looks over at me and smiles.

"Hey Kaoru."

"Hey Haruhi."

I feel so dirty talking to her. She's my brother's girl now.

"How was your night?" I ask.

"Hikaru didn't tell you?"

"No he did. Its just I am looking out for him."

"Fair enough. Last night was nice, but I'm just confused."

Confused? What could Haruhi be confused about?

"What about?"

"My feelings."

"Wanna talk about it?"

"I don't want to drag you into this."

"No I dont mind, really. You're my friend and I want to be there for you."

"I don't know. You're Hikaru's brother."

"That's true, but still."

"I guess.."

I wait for Haruhi to collect her thoughts and find the words she wants to say.

"I think I like two people."

As Haruhi says those words my heart starts racing and I can feel the chills go down my back.

"Really? Hikaru is one of them right?"

"Yeah, of course. Its just you can't love just one with out the other."

My heart starts racing even faster.

"What do you mean?"

Right then Hikaru walks in. He walks in happily and sits next to Haruhi.

"Hey guys!" He sounds to happy.

"Hey Hikaru." Haruhi says.

"Can I talk to you, Haruhi?"

"Maybe after the host club. I really want to focus today on school."

"Ok." Hikaru says respectfully.

When did Hikaru become to mature one? Why am I feeling these ways for my brother's girl? What did she mean you can't like one with out the other? Was she confessing to me. I have to confess to her. I have to.

Haruhi's POV

It's a good thing Hikaru walked in or I would have explained everything to Kaoru. Why would I do that? Kaoru obviously doesn't feel that way for me. He overused the word friend. God. I really need to focus.

Later that day on the way to the host club I walk alone. Hikaru decided he had to talk to me and I decided it had to be at the end of the day. No distractions.

"Haruhi!"

I turn around and look down the stairs to see Kaoru. He seems to out of breath. Was he running?

"Koaru?"

He runs up the stairs and grabs me by my hand. We run, he drags me, down the hall pass the music room three. Kaoru shoves us into an old room and closes the door behind us.

"What are you doing?"

"Something I shouldn't be doing."

His words scare me. I take a step back as he pants.

"Kaoru.. Please.. You don't have to."

"I do though."

Kaoru walks over to me and takes a hold of my hand. He looks down into my eyes as I look up into his.

"What are yo-"

Next thing I know I am being cut off by Kaoru's lips on mine. My eyes widen as his are close tight. I don't understand. This has to be another joke. When Kaoru leans out he stares into my eyes.

"I am about to say some things that I shouldn't or I should have said on the docks." Kaoru is quick and nervous about his words causing me to be unease.

"K-Kaoru, what are you trying to say?"

Kaoru leans into my lips again this time I close my eyes. We continue to kiss until he pulls out again.

"I love you. I know you think I may be joking, but I'm not and I wasn't. I love you. I love you so much. I wasn't going to do this for Hikaru, but I love you."

I can't believe what I am hearing. Kaoru loves me. It was never a joke. I grab the back of Kaoru's head and pull him down to my lips. His hands run through my hair and wrap around my back. Mine wrap around his neck. We continue to kiss. I bite down on his lip causing him to let out a sound that I loved. I take it as my chance to slip my tongue in. Kaoru pulls me closer to deepen the kiss.

"Have you seen Haruhi?"

We stop immediately as we hear someone down the hall.

"No, but without a doubt she is on her way." A voice that sounds like Koyayo's speaks from down the hall.

Kaoru and I look at each other.

"We should go." I whisper.

Kaoru nods in agreement. With that we walk to the door and Kaoru pops his head out. He turns to me and nods.

"We can go."

"Alright."

We begin to walk down the hall to music room three. When we open the door everyone is sitting around. Hunni and Mori senpia are sitting at a table with cake. Koyayo is standing by Tamaki with a clip board. Hikaru was sitting on the couch. Tamaki runs towards us and pushes Kaoru out of the way.

"Oh Haruhi! I've been worried sick!"

"I am fine, senpia."

"Oh thank goodness! Wait, did Kaoru hurt you?"

Kaoru eyes widen. "What gives?"

"No, he didn't hurt me."

"Where were you I was gonna send a search team after you!"

"Tamaki, I am fine."

I push Tamaki off of me and everyone, and I mean everyone, stares at me surprised.

"I am going to make some tea." I say as I walk towards the kitchen.

Alright, maybe I'm on edge.

Hikaru's POV

Why did Haruhi walk in here with Kaoru? Nah I shouldn't think much of it. Haruhi likes me. She said so.
