This is the chapter which I have been waiting for. Well, after the last chapter, where I will probably write something that makes me hurt.

Disclaimer: I don’t own Percy Jackson. All I am right now is a broken person who finds no satisfaction from much.

Nick’s POV:

I was roused from my sleep by a loud knock on my door. I groaned and lifted my head to hear the knocking continue furiously. ‘I’m up,’ I managed to say. I felt Lucy stir beside me and she looked about blearily.

The door opened and Will stuck his head inside. I noticed his eyes were dark and he looked tired, but he had been on watch for the whole night. ‘You should get up now, we’re about to go… Lucy?’

His face was so shocked it was priceless. He started to splutter, and I couldn’t help but chuckle, but also blush while he stood there. I could feel Lucy tense beside me and several more moments went after. ‘WHAT ARE YOU DOING?’ he yelled.

‘Will,’ Lucy spoke calmly. ‘What I do is my own business and none of yours. We were only sleeping.’

‘Actually, we might have done other things except sleep,’ I muttered.

She shot me a glare. ‘Not helping. Now, Will, can you please leave us while I get out of bed?’

Will took another look at the both of us for another second, before sighing and leaving, shaking his head as he went, and the door closed behind him softly. I turned to Lucy and grinned at her, kissing her on her soft lips. ‘Thanks.’

She smiled back at me, her eyes full of love. ‘My brother was about to kill you,’ she chuckled. ‘I didn’t want to have to torture him and then lose both you two.’

She slid out of the bed, unveiling her figure, and I couldn’t help but stare at her with nothing but utter adoration for her. While we had only slept, she was only in her undergarments, and last night I hadn’t seen her well in the dark. She caught my look and giggled. ‘You look like a deer caught in headlights,’ she mused, slipping a shirt over her head.

I managed a smile. ‘For you, I would be.’

She sat on the edge of my bed, lacing up her black combat boots. ‘I’ll see you out there,’ she told me, leaning over and kissing me on my forehead before walking out.

I stayed in bed for another five minutes, still in a daze from the night before. I finally realised that I was going to be needed out and about so started to put on my clothes, and stepped outside.

Will scowled at me. He was drinking from a mug, which I think was coffee of a sort. ‘Did you actually do anything to her?’

I grinned at him. I knew that he was overprotective of her, but he also knew that Lucy could take care of herself and that I would never do anything wrong to her. ‘Well, we talked a little and kissed, but no, we didn’t go that far.’
