Chapter 3

The Next Night

*Dream*

We get into his room, tongues tied and my hands tug at his jet black hair as he lifts me.
He gets onto his bed and pulls my hoodie up my body, my t-shirt riding up with it and his fingers lightly touch my skin, I feel goosebumps arise and a shiver go up my spine making me push his jacket off his shoulders.
"Sweet Pea" I moan as he runs his hands up and down my body
"I love the way you say my name baby" he says and I begin to tug at his shirt making him chuckle and take it off.

*Dream Over*

I wake up confused about my dream with Sweet Pea to Veronica and Archie fighting about the gun that I've taken from him.
"I want him dead Veronica! I want the Black Hood dead. And I wanna be the one who does it. I wanna be the last thing he sees" Archie says
"Spoken like a true Vigilante" she says
"No, you wanted the truth. I made that video and showed my face so that the Black Hood would make me his next target. I went to the Southside, hoping he would come after me. But instead my baby sister not only follows me but she took the gun and told me to leave while she stayed there with a Serpent. How am I supposed to protect her if she took the only means of protection I have for her and hid it in a place where I'll never find it? It has never just been about protecting my dad so that never happens to him again, it's about protecting Lily and you and Betty and Jughead and my mom" he says
"So you find the Black Hood, you shoot him and then what? You go to jail or-or you miss him and he kills you Archie!" she says
"It doesn't matter what happens to me" Archie says
"Yes it does! It matters to me and your dad, Betty, Jughead, Lily. Meanwhile like an idiot I'm trying to support you by designing t-shirts" she says and I step into the living room
"Veronica is right Arch." I say
"Just get the gun Lily" he says 
"No" I say
"What?" he asks
"I said No, Archie." I say walking away
"Why?" he asks making me turn back to face him
"YOU WANNA PROTECT ME ARCHIE? TRY STAYING ALIVE!" I yell
"You were hanging with a Serpent while you have a boyfriend" he says
"Reggie and I broke up" I say
"Why?" he asks
"I don't have feelings for him like that" I say lying to him
"Okay" he says and there's a knock on the door. Veronica and Archie go for it while I take a seat on the single couch while the Bulldogs come in and Reggie tells Arch how if he wants to keep the Red Circle going that they are there for him when I hear a bunch of motor cycles
"Stay here" I say
"We're girls, we go together" Veronica says looking through the window
"And not a moment too soon, Archie trouble" she says and Archie gets up making me put my back to the door
"Let me handle this" I say
"No" he and Veronica say together
Veronica grabs my hand and pulls me to her while Archie opens the door
"How stupid are you Northsiders? You think that you can come to my house, stick a gun in my face in front of my boys and there wouldn't be any pay back?" Sweet Pea asks so I push through and stand between the two of them.
"Sweet Pea don't do this. I get it your angry. Like you said last night, my brother is being reckless. It wont happen again, just please don't do this" I say
"You have crap timing bro. Bulldogs, eat Serpents for lunch" Reggie says
"Reg. Don't rile them up" I say
"So this is the ex boyfriend?" Sweet Pea asks
"Sweets" I say
"Is he another reason you broke up with me? A reason you wouldn't get back together with me?" Reggie asks
"Reggie back off" I say
"You know I think leaving a bruise on her arm is enough reason" Sweet Pea says
"Reggie left a bruise?" Archie asks
"But you know we'll see Bulldogs and the more the merrier" Sweet Pea says and Reggie hits Sweets chest.
"Hey Chill. Veronica stay here" Archie says to Reggie
"What? Archie no" she says and Archie grabs my hand pulling me in the house
"Veronica after what happened with my dad. I made a promise to protect him and Lily and this house. Stay here, both of you" he says
"If you wanna fight we'll fight" Archie says
"What about your gun?" Sweet Pea asks
"What about your knife?" Archie asks
"What about no weapons? I have Archie's gun, hand over the knife Sweet Pea" I say
"The fact that you have his gun means I won't use my knife" he says
"If you troglodytes insist on doing this, there are gonna be rules. Or should I call Sheriff Keller to be referee?" Veronica says and they all leave so I run up to my room and grab the gun.
"I'm not letting this fight happen" I say
"What are you gonna do?" she asks
"Shoot it in the air then throw it into Sweetwater River" I say and we head out to where they're fighting. I see Sweet Pea about to kick my brother in the stomach. So I raise the gun facing it to the sky and pull the trigger before running towards the bridge that stands over Sweetwater River and throw it over the railing. When I turn around Sweet Pea is sitting on his bike letting the rain fall onto him when he gestures for me to get on his bike.
"I'll take you home" he says
"I can't be there. Not at the moment" I say and he nods
"You can stay at mine, or I can drop you off at Jughead's trailer" he says
"Do you mind if I stay with you?" I ask and he shakes his head at me
"Of course not" he says and I wrap my arms around his waist as he takes off

Sweet Pea's Trailer

He leads me inside as we're both soaking wet, he heads to his room and comes out with a black t-shirt. I take my shoes and socks of as he holds the shirt out to me
"Here. You're all wet" he says and passes the shirt to me
"Thank you" I say
"You can get changed in my room" he says and I head into his room
I take my shirt off and pull on the black t-shirt, my bra surprisingly dry and pull my pants off bringing my clothes out with me and I hear grunts from the bathroom. I head to the bathroom to see him wiping under his eye with a face washer.
"Need a hand?" I ask and he turns to face me
"You don't ha-" he starts but I grab the face washer and gesture for him to sit on the toilet
"It's the least I can do" I say dampening the face washer and cleaning his wounds
"All done" I say putting the face washer down before he leads me to his room and we fall asleep in his bed
