Chapter 7

2 Days Later

I'm with Cheryl having lunch when we hear the distinct voice of Nick St Claire.
"Sharon, Lucy" he says
"It's Cheryl and Lily asshat" I say
"What are you still doing in town Nick?" she asks and I stand up
"Picking up some fuel for the trip home" he says approaching us as Sweet Pea comes into Pops and eyes me
"We're okay Pea" I say and he nods
"How are you?" Nick asks Cheryl
"How am I? How am I?" Cheryl asks him getting agitated
"You roofied me, you tried to rape me" she says
"I don't think that's what happened" Nick says
"You're a less than Zero monster" she says
"At least I'm not a desperate tart from a truck stop town, hon" he says getting closer and I put my hand on his chest and push him back
"Close enough pig" I say
"Let's not distort reality to cover your morning after shame, you were high, half naked and begging for it" he says
"Call your lawyer, seeing as you're such an unrepentant spore. I think I'll be pressing charges after all" Cheryl says
"Sweetie, did no one tell you about the arrangements my parents made with your cobra like mother, you're not going to be saying anything about that night to anyone, after all there's a reason it's called hush money" he says taking a chip and paying for his food as well as ours before heading out where I follow him.
"Stop there Nick" I say and we stand in front of Pop's
"Lily, Archie's little sister, Reggie's ex girlfriend. You broke up with him for that bruise on your arm I saw the other night right?" he asks stepping closer to me
"You don't just get to come into this town and make your moves on people by drugging them. There may not be liable proof because you were all on Jingle Jangle. But the truth remains, you roofied Cheryl and I saw you drag her out of the party, she couldn't walk" I say
"You have no proof that I did such a thing. I know your word won't be enough for Sheriff Keller to believe but I'll tell you the truth. I did Roofie Cheryl and I did plan on intercourse with her, I made an advance on Veronica and I planned on making you my next target before I left, too bad I'm going now" he says grabbing my waist and pulling me into him before I push him away
"You should go and never come back" I say walking away from him and back into Pops.

The Race

We're all ready for the race and I sit with Sweet Pea, not caring who sees me in the Serpent Jacket. Archie knows since Sweet Pea was staying and he was a little mad at first but he got over it. Reggie is glaring at Sweet Pea and I while he sits on his bike and I stand between his legs, his arms wrapped around my waist
"You're ex is glaring" he says and I turn to face Sweet Pea
"Let's give him a reason to glare then" I say and bring his lips to mine and he pulls away
"You're so unpredictable and I love it" he says before bringing my lips back to his and we pull away for good.

The cars take off and everyone cheers, when Reggie grabs my hand.
"Can we talk Lil?" he asks and I nod before we head over to a secluded spot.
"What's up?" I ask
"I'm sorry, about taking my anger out on you and using you for scores in the playbook and cheating on you" he says
"Reggie, we don't have to-" I start
"No but I want to and I need to, you look happy with The Serpents, with Sweet Pea" he says
"I don't exactly know what's going on between us" I say
"What do you want?" he asks
"I want him, all of him to myself" I say and Reggie looks down
"I'm sorry. I shouldn't be talking to you about this" I say shaking my head and he grabs my hand
"No, it's just I was too stupid to not realize what I had until she walked out of my life." he says and I kiss his cheek.
"Reggie, there's always gonna be a place for you in my heart and in my life" I tell him and he kisses my forehead
"Perhaps one day in the future, I'll be worthy of you" he says
"Perhaps" I say before walking back over to the Serpents
"Everyone scatter! The cops are rounding up Ghoulies!" someone yells and everyone runs making dirt go up into the air and I lose sight as the dirt gets in my eyes.
"Come on Andrews" I hear Reggie says as I see Archie and Jughead show up
"Oh my god, oh my god. You're okay" Ronnie says hugging Archie
"Thank god" I say
"We gotta get out of here" Archie says
"Come on, come on. We gotta go right now" Jughead says
"You called the cops! You won't throw in with the Ghoulies but you will with the cops? Where's the honor in that?" Tallboy yells
"Stand down Tallboy!" I yell
"Calm down Tallboy! You think I knew Keller would be there?" Jughead asks him
"I called Keller" Archie says
"What the hell Archie?!" I yell
"Did my dad tell you about this too?" Jughead asks yelling at him
"No, this was my idea to get rid of the Ghoulies. And it worked. They get arrested for street racing and now they're off the chess board" Archie says
"For how long? One month? Three months? You know what they're gonna want on the other side Archie? Your head on a stake, all of ours!" Jughead yells and I shake my head at my brother before getting on the back of Sweet Pea's bike and we head to his trailer
When we get there he helps me off the bike before walking away from me, obviously pissed for some reason.
"Sweet Pea" I say walking after him
"So you had your fun with me, you're gonna go that guy at Pops and back to your ex?" he asks
"What?" I ask
"You and that guy this morning, were quite close, his arms wrapped around you. Then we made out while Reggie was glaring and then you two are holding hands, you're kissing his cheek, he's kissing your forehead. Make up your mind" he says
"Okay first of all. The guy at Pops, Nick. He's an absolute pig and I was out there standing up for Cheryl and he got too close and wrapped his arms around my waist. As for Reggie, he was apologizing for being an A Class Douche Bag of a boyfriend. He's always gonna be in my life, he's one of the people I've gone to school with since Pre K" I say and he doesn't say anything
"As for you and me Sweet Pea, I don't know what we are and because I don't know what we are, I'm not getting involved with anyone else. I probably should have asked you what you wanted from me before we had sex but I'm gonna do that now" I say
"What do you want me to say Lily? I'm not boyfriend material, I don't date and yeah maybe we should've made it clear before we had sex. But shit like that happens and I'm sorry. But you won't see me going to the movies with anyone but Toni and some of my guys. Like I said before, I don't date" he says and I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding in
"Well then I'll see you at the next Serpent meeting or whatever" I say heading home but instead of going to my room, I go into Archie's room and he notices the distressed look in my eyes before I tell him everything about Sweet Pea and I. Archie holds me close as I broke down and he tells me it'll be okay as I doze off in his arms.
