"And you said you weren't gay."

The unmistakable voice of my father called out, which brought me crashing back to reality, though it was nice on cloud nine for the minute it lasted. My cheeks burned an embarrassed red, glancing behind me where my father stood with a smirk and a raised eyebrow.

I groaned softly digging my face into the crook of Callum's neck, his arm tightening around my waist. "Must be cause I've been hanging around you to long. Dad always said it was a disease" Callum retorted.

I laughed softly pulling away turning to face my father who was walking towards us. "Come here shit head" he muttered pulling Callum into his side and into a head lock, his knuckle rubbing over the top of his head. "Have I ever told you what I do for a living?" Papa asked a squirming Callum, who was laughing as he tried getting out of my father's grip.

"Well I beat the shit out of people twice the size of your sorry ass. Hurt my boy again and I'll reconstruct your ugly face." My father said simply, making me roll my eyes as he released Callum making him stumble slightly.

"Yes sir" Callum muttered fixing his hair, which my father messed up seconds later before he walked off, leaving us alone once again.

"What am I doing?" Callum groaned running his hand through his hair, biting his lips harshly. My heart went out to him with what he is going though, I hope with a little bit of time and a few talks they rekindle their relationship.

"You are taking control of your life" I replied taking his free hand, squeezing it gently. A small smile graced his lips, I ignored my heart cause I'm not becoming a love sick teen just because of one kiss.

"I don't think I'm welcome home" Callum muttered his voice cracking lightly, "and I really don't want to go" he added shaking his head. It was as if all the adrenaline for the past half hour has left him and now reality of the situation was crashing down on him. "Then come home with me. Everything is going to be fine Cal, you won't have to do this alone cause you got me now" I said truthfully.

Callum was there for me with the death of my uncle and through out the whole Joel saga, so it's about time I repay him for all he has done to me.  He smiled softly pressing a kiss to my lips that made my heart do a backflip in my chest.  God dammit.

"You're attracted to boys?" It came out more as a statement then a question from my father. I glanced at him as I pushed the trolly along the isles. "Father like son eh?" Was my reply which got a laugh out of him, as he grabbed a few steaks from the refrigerated meat isle.

Our conversation was cut short by two teenagers who asked for photos and autographs. I continued pushing the trolly picking up a few things on the way. "Does this always happen?" Callum asked as he walked up  to the trolly, placing a few bags of popcorn and other treats in the trolly, we decided we were having a movie night tonight.  "Yeah but he loves it" I replied.

"Hey Xavier and Callum right? " James greeted softly, his usual awkward persona that I've gotten use to showing through. "Hey James, how was California?" I asked, they went on a family trip for a few days to Disney land, Evan was almost bouncing off the walls with excitement last time I saw him.

James spoke of their small holiday, eyes full of affection as he talked of his family. The man in front of me, if didn't know better id saw he couldn't hurt a fly. James seemed so shy and awkward around people, I seriously wondered what happened from school to now.
