After Klaus left it was time to catch up on the much needed sleep, well I tried. God knows I did. But by the way I kept tossing and turning on my bed all night and until the crack of dawn, it was safe to say I was unsuccessful. I was nervous and I didn't feel safe. Shocker. I seriously wonder how the people of this town can sleep at night. Every time I let my guard down for a split second, I get attacked and nearly killed by one of the many psychos who infest this paradise of a town.

Do you sense an undertone of sarcasm?

I hope so, because that would mean i'm doing it right.

I had completely given up on the failed attempts to sleep so I dragged myself out of bed and walked unsteadily across the room, wiping my long brown hair out of my eyes. I rubbed my head as I opened  the door and walked down the creaky cabin-styled stairs. I opened the living room window and a gust of refreshingly cold air hit me, making me close my eyes and smile. who doesn't like the smell of early mornings? I know what I need! A walk. I was in desperate need to clear my head and taking walks in places surrounded by green always seemed to help. Luckily for me, there was a forest right down the road. A glass of water and I was ready to go. I started walking to the door when I suddenly stopped. I looked down at my short thin-strap white night gown from last night. Is it really okay to go out like that? I mean nobody's probably up and the forest is just down the road and it'll be just a quick wal-OH SCREW IT anything's okay in this town! it's the least they owe me. I practically stomped my whole way to the forest feeling like a complete rebel.

A walk in the forest is always nice. But it's when you breathe in that first smell of the fresh pine trees, the flowers and the recently overturned soil and it doesn't just fill your lungs, it spreads throughout your entire body, filling you with a sense of tranquil and complete and utter happiness. I breathed deeply with a lunatics smile plastered acros my face, oh I have missed this.

I walked forward, swinging an odd strand out of my hair. I looked around at the brown and green trees and the newly blossoming flowers, reds, greens, yellows and blues all bursting into different shapes and sizes. I really like this forest, at least there's SOMETHING nice about this town. I stop for a moment and l look at the sky. Well, what I can see of it through the towering trees. I closed my eyes imagining what it would be like to fly.

There was a rustle in the bushes and I turned around preparing for a fight. a man stepped out with short, dark hair. He looked young yet his eyes held a sense of wisdom that can only be gained over time. He was wearing a formal tuxedo and for a minute there, I thought he didn't see me. He straightened out his jacket and wiped his mouth of the dark red liquid that was seeping from his lips. And can you take a wild guess at  what that liquid was?

I'll give you a little hint, it was NOT ketchup.

Yay for melody.

His eyes connected with mine and I instantly started to freak out. I'm dead. I am so dead. He just saw me see him wiping blood off his mouth. I know too much, There's no way he's gonna let me go. No no no! This is how people end up dead in those horror movies I refuse to watch yet when I do,I refuse to not watch! This is an endless cycle and mine is about to be ended! He's going to slice me up into little Melody pieces and probably cut my tounge out while he's at it. Maybe even serve my blood at a vamp bar and grill. I wonder what kind of bottle they'd serve me in? I bet i'll taste nice though! Oh God i'm having a mental breakdown.

"Hello." His voice was smooth and velvety, but it held an underlying tone of a predator.

"Hi.." I said cautiously.

"And what brings you out into the woods so..Under dressed?" He said eyeing me up and down. That's when I remembered I was wearing my night gown. I paused and felt my cheeks grow hot. But I regained my composture quickly.

Nobody makes a fool out of Melody Hart!..

Except Melody Hart.

And the occasional cup holder.

I won't talk about it. It was a tramautic experience.

"I could ask the same thing. I don't think such formal attire is suitable for such a vigorous walk in the woods." I shot back hinting at the black tux he was currently dressed in, He smiled slowly.

"Touche." He took off his jacket and stepped forward to put it over my shoulder. His hand lingered on my arm, which made me shiver. He jumped back instantly upon touching me, as if he was electricuted or something, his face showing shock and disbelief.

"My,my, my.." He said. "What have I found in these woods today?"

"From the looks of your stained shirt, it seems like a meal," I responded. "But I assure you I am not something you would want a piece of."

He laughed quietly. "Surely not. Tell me, Does your name by any chance happen to be Melody Ann Hart?" He inquired.

Odd.

I'm sure I'm talking to a vampire and not starteller the majestical psychic.

I am also sure that is definitely not Edward collin.

OHH maybe I should ask who I'm going to marry?

My silence, apparently, was all the confirmation He needed.

"I've been wanting to meet you for quite a while now." He said, making me look at him strangely.

"Isn't that what they say in horror movies and stuff?"

I guess he found my reply somewhat funny, because it was a few seconds before he could finally get a grip.

"He did tell me you were quite a trip." He sighed.

"Wait, who told you what?"

"Oh, haven't I introduced myself yet? Please excuse my indecency. My Name is Elijah Mikaelson. Me and my siblings live up that hill."

"Mikaelson? As in Klaus?" I asked, clearly finding it hard to add the pieces together. He rolled his eyes briefly and said

"Yes, I have the displeasure of having him as a brother, He told me quite alot about you, and from what I concluded, you should not be walking around a deserted forest alone and unarmed. You seem to ignore the fact that you are in constant danger, especially in this particular town, "

I blushed after realising how real stupid I was. If he was someone else I would be dead by now.

"But nevertheless, It's a pleasure to meet you, miss Melody Hart." He slightly bowed down, like a gentleman.

Well, He is certainly not like his brother.

"The pleasure is all mine, Elijah Mikaelson." I smiled slightly.
