i stirred in my bed as i slowly opened my eyes. it was really bright in the room so i guessed it had to be around lunchtime. and my stomach agreed with me. i must have fallen asleep. with a groan, i pulled myself out of bed walking downstairs & straight into the kitchen. i opened the fridge and looked around..Nothing!, of course nothing, i just got here and i barely had time to drink coffee let alone go shopping. as much as i hated to, i had to go back to the grill. it was the only place i knew around here and also, it's time for me to start searching for that bonnie girl. i just hope i don't run into that freakish guy again. just the thought of that Icy blue stare sends chills down my spine. i opened my cupboard and looked around for something descent to wear. there are going to be more people and if i wanted to find that witch i had to make a good impression.

i got dressed into a cute short green dress & a pair of black strapless heels  and made my way to the grill. luckily it wasn't far from my house so i could easily walk there anytime. i got inside and not much to my surprise, it was WAY more crowded than this morning!..as soon as i set my foot inside, everyone started staring at me like i just killed someone. i had to avoid their stares as i made my way to a table. i awkwardly sat there for a minute. i could feel the eyes of all those people burning into my skin & it was getting really uncomfortable.
"Just pretend you can't see them & they'll eventually find something else to do" i heard a girl's voice say from behind. i turned around to see a beautiful blonde girl about my age smiling at me from another table.
"i seriously doubt that.." i mumbled , she chuckled seeing how uncomfortable i was, she was also sitting alone on her table so she invited herself over to mine.
"You must be new" she said, still smiling cheerfully
" Yeah, i just got here yesterday but i can gladly assure you that i have met quite a good amount of creeps during my few hours here." i said getting annoying flashbacks of that scary -but extreemly hot-blue eyed stranger that has been stalking me.
"she laughed. "well congratulations, i'm not a creep!.. and i've got other non-creep friends which would be happy to meet you!..i could show you around & let you hang out with us & we could be besties!" she squealed with  enthusiasm that i thought was kind of overrated since she doesn't even know my name. she was right, she's not a creep. the girl was crazy!....i liked her.
"it would help if i knew you name." i laughed
"Oh, right!..i'm caroline!" she said with a broad smile, stretching her hand out to me for a handshake
"And i'm Melody" i smiled and shook her hand. as soon as i touched her i knew she was a vampire. don't ask me how though! call me a phsycic for it but i just knew.
"so why did you move here anyway?..
"well i wouldn't exactly say i 'moved' here, i just came here to find someone & i won't be staying here for that long."
"Who do you wanna find? maybe i could help." she asked looking at me quizzingly. i think she just made it her mission to find out exactly who i was & what i was doing here. it's incredible how nosy these people are!.. but i didn't mind as long as she could lead me to my witch.
"Bonnie bennet..do you know her?" as soon as i mentioned the name her face suddenly turned pale, her glowy cheerful eyes suddenly reflected a mixture of pain & sadness.
"She's my bestfriend.." she whispered., taking out her mobile phone & showing me the screensaver. "That's her. *she showed her the picture of both of them at the right*
"she's beautiful." i smiled,  playing along and trying to stop myself from jumping up and down in joy. i can't believe i found her so easily!
"Do you mind me asking why you want to find her? she asked.
"Um, i just wanted her to help me with some hocus pocus stuff, it's no big deal.."  her eyes widened
"Are you like..Another witch?"
"No, yeah..well i don't really know but i was planning to find out." i sighed
Her mouth shaped into an O.
"So, you're not human?" she narrowed her eyes at me, clearly confused.
"What's the big deal, neither are you" i stated calmly and watched as the shock expression on her face grew wider.
"How did you-"
"i honestly don't even know, i guess it's just another one of my mysterious freakish abilities which your witch bonnie should be helping me with." i cut her off
"You and your freakish abilities sure do remind me of her.." she said
"GREAT..now, speaking of her, could you tell me where she lives?"  i said beaming with happiness, still not being able to believe how easy it was finding her. i mean, what are the odds that out of all the people of this town, the first girl i run into is HER BEST FRIEND?..incredible, right?
she sighed. i could tell there was something off. Maybe they fell out or something.
"Sure, come with me.."

"Are we there yet?" i asked
"Melody you do realize you sound like a five year old, right?" caroline said
"well can you at least tell me where we're going?..we're nowhere near anything close to a house figure right now."
"i don't have to tell you where we're heading because we're already here." she said slowing down the car. i looked out the window to the vast green fields extending to as far as i can see, with little grey stones pinned firmly to the ground, each one about 10 inches  or so away from the other. they were not just a bunch of grey stones, they were tomb stones .

"She lives in a cemetery?... weird!" i said confused as the car stopped completely.

"She doesn't live here, Melody." caroline said & i shot my eyes at her direction with confusion.

"Bonnie's Dead."
