The morning had taken its reign. The light peeks through the wide windows of the apartment and barely made it through the dark blue curtains that shaded the smooth glass. The outside world was just beginning to buzz with life as the morning began.

Jessabelle shifts slightly where she was. She smiled and grabbed the arm that sat firmly around her waist. Trying not to wake the boy that was snoring lightly behind her, she turns to face him. A smile places itself on her face. She gently brushes his cheek with the side of her hand. His snoring stops and his eyes flutter open. His lips grow into a small grin.

“Morning.” she smiles. “Morning, you ticklish shortie.” He jokes. She giggles. “Want something to eat?” she asks. He grips her tighter and shakes his head. “Let’s stay here a little longer.” He tells her. “Not this again.” She rolls her eyes and smiles. “I just want to lay with you before I leave.” It slips out.

“Leave? Where are you going?” she asks, concern echoes in her voice. He sighs and swears under his breath. “Brendon Boyd Urie, where are you going?” she asks her voice a little more stern and she wears a small frown.

“We leave soon. To work on our album.”

“And you planned on telling me this, when?” she asks, her voice a little liter now. “I did. That night when we first hung out…” “Ah” she nods her head.

“How long?” she asks, waiting to hear the heartbreaking answer. “A month and two weeks.” He says. She winces at the amount of time he’d given her. “That’s a long time. Where are you going?” she asks.

 “Who signed you?”

“Pete.”

“Pete Wentz?”

“Yes, ma’am.”

“That’s great news. I’m glad.” She smiles. Brendon takes her by the shoulders, parting their hug. “Glad?” he asks. “If it’s doing something you love, then I’m happy for you, hun.” she says. “I’d rather be here with you doing something I love.” He grumbles. “You’ll have so much fun. You won’t even notice I’m not there.” She states.

“Like hell I won’t.” Brendon sits up and brushes his messy hair back with his hand. That’s when he noticed they’d fallen asleep on the floor. He chuckles a bit. Jessabelle stands up and stretches her body. “I gotta get going, Bren. I have that stupid Play Your Chords Right thingy tonight and I can’t be late for that.” she explains. “Let me take you home, then.” He offers. “You need to take a shower and get dressed, rock star. When do you leave for Cali?”

“Today.” He mutters. “What the hell? Today?! Brendon, I…” he presses a finger on her mouth to keep her quiet. “I’m sorry. I didn’t want to tell you because I didn’t want you to be all gitty about it.” He explains. Jessabelle calms her nerves and thinks about the better.

“Did you pack?”

“Nope.” he answers. Jessabelle rolls her eyes. “You should pack now so you won’t be in a rush. What time is your flight?” “I think 10:00.” He hollers as he watches her head down the hall to Ryan’s room. She pushes open the door. Ryan is sitting up, holding Jecilia, tear stains on her flushed face as she slept.

‘What happened?’ Jessabelle mouths the words. ‘Her sister.’ he mouths back. Jecilia shoots up, a gasp escaping her lips. Ryan rubs her long blue hair. “You’re awake.” He smiles. Jecilia returns the smile and yawns. “So are you.” she says. Jecilia faces the door and eyes her friend. “Are we leaving?” she asks. Jessabelle nods. “I’ll see you soon, Ry.” Jecilia says. They exchange a quick peck on the lips before Jecilia hops off the bed and tackles Jessabelle, causing both of them to (almost) fall.

“I’m so happy to have you as a friend.” She says. “You’re being nice again.” Jessabelle sings. Jecilia hops off her friend. “Damnit!” she shouts. Jessabelle laughs. Her thoughts quickly turning back over to Brendon. He is a rock star. It happens. She tries to talk herself out of being too upset.

Brendon: wat time is ur play ur chords right thingy?

Jessabelle: it starts @ 8 and ends @ 10, but u should b focused on packing. dont worry about showing up. I’ll see u @ the airport. K?

Brendon: y not? i’d like 2 hve sum time 2 say goodbye L

Jessabelle: I’m not very good @ goodbyes is all. See u @ the airport?

Brendon: wouldn’t miss it 4 the wrld

Jessabelle sighs. What was she going to do for a month and a half without him? It was already hard enough not being able to see him for the days before, how could she cope? He made her happy – apart from Jecilia – and she wanted to keep that same happiness she’d felt when he was around. It’s only a month and a half. It shouldn’t be that long. She tried to convince herself, even though she knew a month and a half was a very long time…

“You look great,” Jecilia exclaimed as her friend exits her room. She walks, into the kitchen, spins and poses, imitating a model. Her red pony tail swings behind her. She skirt flows as she walks, making her look more graceful. She really did look amazing.

“I have to look at least the slightest bit presentable for Brendon when he leaves.” she shrugs. “Ryan! You two kissed yesterday. I hope that means you guys are together. As in together-together.” Jessabelle winks at her friend.

“He asked me last night. He was singing to me some lyrics that he’d written for the new album and when I least expected it; he sang the words to me. It was amazing. I love that guy.” She smiles. Jessabelle’s eyes grow wide. “Love?!” flips out. Jecilia blushes. “N-no! That’s not what I meant! N-not that kind of love! We’ve only been with each other…not even a full day yet! How could I possibly be in love?” she shakes her head, her hair flies around.

Jessabelle giggles. “Well, we better get going. If Miss. Kay finds out I was late, she’ll kill me.” I tell her. Jecilia grabs her keys off the small coffee table and heads out the door. “Let’s hurry up then. Pft, love…what the hell’s wrong with you.” She mutters.
