Unexpected Events

The talk went rather well, with Absol beside you, you had the courage to speak up and really tell how you felt about her, even if you felt like hiding yourself under a mountain. Before that though, you explained what you went through in your life in one song. There just so happened to be a band there that knew how to play the song you sang, and it went a lot better than you expected. You got a cheer from the crowd as you finished. After you finished what you had to say, you thanked the band and walked off the stage with Absol and Dartrix. As you walked off towards the crowd, you heard something coming towards you. As you looked to your right, you saw something coming towards you quickly, and before you had time to react, you found yourself being hugged. When you took a second to make out the figure, you saw it was a Primarina that was hugging you. You slowly turned your head to Absol and Dartrix who were staring at this Primarina the same way you were.

"Umm... a little help here?" You asked. Dartrix flew over and perched himself on your shoulder.

"Excuse me, but could you please detach yourself from (Y/n)?" Dartrix asked.

"Na"

"What do you mean no?" Dartrix asked. "He's not your trainer, so why are you holding onto-"

"Primarina!" A loud whistle was heard somewhere in the forest. The Primarina looked back, then released you. After going off a short distance, she turned her head back and gave a wink. You tensed up a little bit, and the Primarina went somewhere into the woods, out of sight.

"What the heck just happened?" You asked. "And did that just really happen? Am I reading this signal correctly?"

"To be honest (Y/n)," Dartrix said. "I'd be a little surprised if you didn't." You blushed a little bit.

"Absol, what do I do?" You asked.

"Why are you asking?" Absol asked.

"Because I'm freaking out a little bit and I can't think straight!" Absol came up to you and leaned her head on your leg.

"Sit down for a minute." Absol said. You looked at her for a second, then sat down. As you sat down, Absol placed her head on your chest, making your heart race.

"Absol, we're in public." You whispered.

"That hasn't stopped me before." Absol chuckled.

"Hey, you're that guy who talked about your Absol." A voice said behind you. As you turned around, you saw Kiawe walking up to you. You saw a large Pokémon walking beside him. A Salazzle, much taller than a normal one. "(Y/n), right?" You stood up and nodded.

"Yeah, that's me." You said.

"Not going to lie, I bet that felt really uncomfortable talking about that." Kiawe said. You wanted to reply with; "Oh, you have no idea." But with Absol standing there, you had to say your alternative.

"Well, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be." You said. "Especially since I had Absol with me."

"Well, since the speeches is just about over, how about a battle?" Kiawe asked. The Salazzle narrowed its gaze on Dartrix, causing him to shudder a little bit.

"Oh no, I'm not fighting that thing, that thing has death written all over that face!" Dartrix said perching himself on your head. Kiawe chuckled a little bit.

"That's what Salazzle will do, they sure can intimidate someone with just a glance." Kiawe said.

"Absol? Would there be a way that you could-"

"You don't even need to finish that." Absol said. "I've been itching for a good battle since those two grunts on the other island proved to be no better."
