The Unbreakable Bond

After a troublesome time beating the trial hosted by Ilima, you got your very first Z-crystal called the Normalium Z. Weird name to give something like that, but you didn't question it too much. He explained what Professor Kuikui didn't, explaining that to unlock the full power, you had to do a specific dance to unleash the power, along with using the same type move as the crystal given to the Pokémon. He also explained that here in Alola, Pokémon will occasionally call out for help. Ilimia also informed you that since you had beaten the one and only trial on the island, that you were now qualified for something called, the Grand Trial. He told you to go up to Iki town when the sun sets. Rowlet looked a little worn out from the trial. You had Absol stay back and observe for the first part, until eventually the last Rattata got annoying and you had your Pokémon help corner it. It was starting to get dark, and the sun was beginning its descent. You had exited the Pokémon center in Hau' Oli city and started making your way over to Iki town when you heard something behind you.

"Hey you! Stop!" A voice demanded. You turned around, curious about who could be calling out at you. You saw a man in black clothes and a white rag over his mouth. He had black eye-liner under his eyes and practically looked like some kind of horrible gangster. Absol took a step behind you and hid behind your legs.

"Who are you?" You asked confused. He stopped in front of you and started flailing his arms into random different poses.

"My name doesn't matter to you." He said. "I'm a member of Team Skull, and I want your Pokémon!" You folded your arms and glared at him.

"And what makes you think I'm going to give them up so easily?" You questioned.

"Alright, looks like I have to teach you a lesson yo!" He said. "Yo Yungoos! Come out and teach this punk a lesson!"

"Goos!" The Yungoos let out.

"Absol, stay back for this one, I don't want you getting hurt." You whispered. Absol nodded her head, but still stood behind you. "Rowlet, teach him what happens to those that try to steal."

"Rowl!" Rwolet said flapping down from your head. "Rowlet, use Peck!" Rowlet flew forward, then slammed his beak into the Yungoos.

"Don't just stand there and take it! Yungoos, use Tackle!"

"Dodge it, then use Peck again." You said. The Yungoos tried to hit Rowlet with Tackle, but Rowlet flew into the air too high, and the Yungoos fell back down. Rowlet dove down and hit the Yungoos with another Peck, sending it back a few feet. "Alright, finish it off with Scratch." Rowlet flew forward again, then scratched the Yungoos with his talons, sending it flying back until it hit the grunt. He fell back, catching his Yungoos, and was on the ground.

"Yungoos! Get up!" He said. Yungoos was unconscious and unable to battle.

"Now, if you've got any more Pokémon, I think I can take them out just as easily as that one." You said. The member looked up at you, growled, then picked up his Yungoos and ran off.

"You'll be sorry you messed with the likes of us yo!" He said running away. You heard cheering coming from the crowd around you. You hadn't noticed, but there was a small group that had circled around you.

"You alright Rowlet?" You asked.

"Let!" Rowlet said nodding his head.

"Absol?"

"Yeah, I'm fine." Absol said. You gave a sigh of relief.

"Good." You said. "You especially did a good job out there Rowlet, not a single hit!"

"let." Rowlet said blushing.

"Quite the impressive performance." A voice said through the crowd. "But I shouldn't expect less with someone who just completed my trial."
