I looked up from my spot sprawled on the van's floor to see two people staring down at me. The first one was Mickey, looking panicked. The second was the man who kidnapped him. He was ginger, about our age, and looking at me defensively, as if he was ready to punch my lights out. There was one other person in the car, an older lady (maybe mid-50s), but she was driving, so she couldn't look at me. But I could tell she was confused by the thump I made when I jumped in.

"Who's this?" the man asked Mickey. "Can we trust her?"

Mickey looked ever more confused, but worried for my safety, quickly answered him. "Yeah, yeah. She's fine, don't hurt her. She's my friend."

"Ricky," the man scolded. "You were the one who told us you don't contact your family because it puts them in danger. She shouldn't be here."

"Yeah. Ricky said that," Mickey played along, taking the role of his parallel world's self. "Course I did, just testing. I want her with me, though. That's where she's safest." I scoffed, but went with it. As my only other option seemed to be death.

"I saw them. I taped them," the man went on excitedly, seemingly changing the subject. "They went round Blackfriars gathering up the homeless like the child catcher. They must've took four dozen."

"The vans were hired out to a company called International Electromatics," the driver added, finally speaking up. "But I did a protocol search. Turns out that's a dummy company established by guess who?"

"I don't know. Who?" Mickey asked cluelessly. We were both obviously and hopelessly confused as to what they were talking about.

"Cybus Industries!" they said together. This Cybus thing was everywhere, and from what I heard, these people were secretly investigating it. So, solved the mystery of the creepy van, and the homeless he spoke of must've been the people Ricky's gran was talking about being taken off the street. New mystery was why. And I'm betting these people can help with that.

"Well, now we've got evidence," the man continued giddily.

"Bad news is, they've arrested Thin Jimmy. So that just leaves you," the woman behind the wheel spoke to Mickey.

"Leaves me what?"

"The Number One. Top of the list. London's Most Wanted," the man answered.

My eyes widened as I stared up at them from my spot on the floor. I hadn't bothered to get up, but I was sitting comfortably. I was impressed with him, well, with Ricky I suppose. Nevertheless, not my first time around criminals, but my first time around high-class criminals.

"Okay, cool. Say that again?" Mickey asked in disbelief as he processed what they just said.

The moon was out by the time we pulled up to a small, abandoned warehouse. Although, it wasn't too abandoned because I could see a light on.

"There's a light on," the man I learned to be named Jake whispered to us. "There's someone inside the base. Mrs. Moore, we've got visitors. They both pulled out a gun as we exited the van and approached the door. "One, two, three, go!"

They opened the door violently and pointed there guns at whoever was in the room, Mickey and me following behind them in fear. But no one in the room was ready for what we saw when we entered.

There stood Mickey, or I guess this was Ricky. It wasn't hard to tell the difference between them, if you were me. Their stance alone gave it away. Ricky stood with such confidence and power, I guess being Most Wanted could do that to you. Meanwhile, Mickey was a bit more self conscious in his gait, never like he owned the place, unless he was feeling especially cocky. The look on his face was different too. I never thought I'd see Mickey scowl like that.
