Chapter 2-Merida's POV

I slept in the next morning since I was feeling ill. Or maybe I was just too sad to get up and do princess things. Yeah. That was probably it. I looked out my window and watched Angus get groomed. I also looked at the forest. I had told my Mum about about happened and she told me she would send some people to go see if there was anything in the forest. And of course they came back and said they didn't find anything.

Someone opened my door but no one said anything. I turned over and no one was there. I got up and closed my door. That was odd...I decided not to get back into bed but to get dressed and go see what I had to do today. I went to go see my Mum.

"Hm..." Mum said thinking, "I don't think I need you to do anything today."

I groaned, "Nothing? Isn't there something you can give me to do?"

Mum laughed, "Merida, are you feeling all right? This isn't like you."

I shook my head, "No. I'm not alright. I saw something in that forest. I know I did." That wasn't really what I was upset about but how could I tell my Mum that I miss a Viking?

"Maybe it left?" She shrugged.

My heart sank. What if that was really Toothless in the forest? That had to mean Hiccup was with him since he can't fly on his own. But what if they left? What if Hiccup thought me running away from them meant I wanted him to leave? I wanted to go back and check so desperstly. But I couldn't. Not now at least. I'd have to go at night which is exactly what I was going to do.

Now to find something to occupy my time.
