Just a little trial chapter. See how it does. This is a new chapter, not a revised one.

=^Jerome's P.O.V.^=

We had been sitting on the couch for at least on hour. I had lost track of time. I had become immersed in the movie that was on the screen. When the movie ended I had gotten up and went to grab Mitch's plate to bring back to the kitchen to wash, Bust when I picked it up I had noticed that he hadn't even had one full slice. Which is odd seeing as pizza is one of his favourite foods.

"Hey, Mitch buddy. You feeling alright? You barely touched your pizza."

"Yeah, just a little tired, and I had a big breakfast this morning anyway." He said this with a smile. A convincing smile, I could see through it. But I didn't push it.

I started walking into the kitchen and stuck the pizza back in the box. "Alright, I'll just set this in the fridge for later. Speaking of which, I cleaned it out for you. Seemed you had a lot of old food."

"Thanks Biggums, I've been meaning to do that. You're a life saver."

I put the pizza box into the fridge and started cleaning up and washing the dishes. His house was a MESS. I am so tempted to clean up. And I might still do it. I walk back into the living room and see Mitch laying, stretched out on the couch. His eyes were closed and I don't think he heard me come in.

'He looks so peaceful. Almost angelic'

I shook myself out of my thoughts. It looked like he was sleeping, so I headed upstairs to unpack. I checked out the spare room to see what work he was doing.

The room is covered in plastic to protect the floor, and what little furniture is in there, from the paint. Seems likes he's repainting. I walked into the room to take a closer look at the colour of paint. I look closely at the wall and realize that there's something underneath. Looks like words, but I can't make out what it says.

I decide to leave and head back into Mitch's room to unpack. I walk into his room and really see how it looks, as before I was too tired to really see it and pay attention. It was worse than I imagined. It was as if a tornado had hit his room. Though it did look like he tried cleaning it. But it was as if he just didn't know how to clean. Which is un-Mitch like. He's usually a better cleaner than this.

Before I can unpack I need to clean and straighten up a bit so that it looks better. And so I have room to move. I don't know how he moved around in this room without tripping. I started with the floor and the laundry basket. Which was actually almost empty, only because all his clothes were on the floor.

Next his desk. I straightened up and threw out all the trash. His desk was the easiest to clean. I sped through the rest of his room after that. I was just starting in his bathroom when I heard a banging from the front door. I just got to the top of the stairs when I heard Mitch yell out for me. I ran down the stairs, almost falling at one point. When I got to the bottom I ran to Mitch who was on the floor, head in his hands, sobbing his heart out. I grabbed him in my arms and held him. I look at the door and see a note tacked to it. I didn't reach for it because Mitch was my priority. Not the note.

Hey, so this is the end of the chapter. I would like to know if you want me to continue. Let The Bees Buzz.
