Hello once again, people! Not much to report about this time, but I'll talk about whatever comes to mind.
So, the first thing to come to mind is the Garden of the Alraune. I haven't made any progress deciding what I want to do, sadly; the best I have in mind is a dramatic climax where the worker has to rescue the alraune from a fiery death, but does so at the cost of her own life. The other option is that the alraune reaches her maximum potential and starts to take the city over, possibly consuming the worker and turning her into an alraune as per her dream. I have a couple of scenes, too - like one where she's running from a werewolf pack, only to be rescued by a vampire, and another where White Mask reveals his affiliation and intent to her, but no concrete plot. Maybe I should do a reworking for the plot itself; I know what I want, but not how to get there. If you guys have any ideas, do let me know.
I'm kinda sad when it comes to volunteering because I'm hearing whispers that the shop I'm working at is struggling. I keep hearing it's part of the Death of the High Street, but I'd be surprised if that was the only explanation - we sell some pretty interesting stuff (like the one time we got a copy of a James Bond book that ended up going for £900), but all in all if people don't want books they won't buy books. It'll be sad to stop and I'm not certain what I would do if it does go, but I'll worry about that when I get there. Keep this hush, mkay?
A Dot in the Abyss is going pretty well, at least; I've edited it and am awaiting feedback from a lovely author who's agreed to have a read of the edited version and tell me what further edits she would make. I've also come in touch with an artist who's doing some pretty freakin' sweet artwork, which I'm planning to use for the cover and maybe some illustrations within the book. It flusters me every time to see what the artist's able to do, and frankly, I'm flattered. Despite this, there isn't much more to add so I'm gonna leave it there for now.
I was advised by another author to install Grammarly, and I won't lie, the thought concerned me a little. I feel as though it's only helped a little, but it is kinda fun to see what few mistakes I do make. It's fun to see! I only use it for the website you're reading this on, but I might download the individual program and use it as a word editor. I still think it's kinda like a crutch, but I will admit it's pretty useful to help to polish this up.
Well, that's the end of my time again. Thanks to you all for reading this so diligently. We're halfway through the year! And I still have no idea what to write about. Phoenix out!

General FictionThe result of a New Year's Resolution, I have decided to write for at least 10 minutes a day. This is the result of that effort! Note that I first uploaded to Tumblr, so while I did start this on Jan 1, the earliest this e-book will show is Jan 19.
