Chapter 16

Laura's POV

''Chloe, I think I might be pregnant...'' I mumble, when we're doing college work, in a class room with no air con, it's boiling out and I just want death, it's the week after the barbecue and every since Saturday morning I've been throwing up in the morning, my period is late and honestly, I feel a little different.

''What! oh my god Laura, does Ashton know?!?'' She asks, in a hushed voice, making me nod slightly, ''Yeah, he's made me an appointment for after college'' I mumble, looking up at her from my work, which I'm hardly doing, ''Laura Henderson and Chloe Tomlinson please shut up and carry on with the work!'' Jackie, another tutor of our tutors, she's a dick.

Chloe smiles sadly at me, as I look down at the work.

I put my pen down after a while because I'm starting to feel dizzy, probably because it's so hot in this room, ''Can we switch the air con on?'' I blurt out, making everyone look at me and me too blush slightly, ''No we can not!'' Jackie snaps, making me run my hand through my hair, ''Well can we go on a break and get fresh air or something?!?'' I beg slightly, looking at Chloe as she gives me a worried look, making me bite my lip.

''Yeah whatever, 20 minutes!'' She lets us now, as I stand up and rush out the room, which wasn't the best idea, because the dizziness gets worse and everything starts to look weird to me, ''Laura? are you okay? come on, lets go sit down'' Chloe says, resting a hand on my back, as I start feeling sick and next think I know everything goes black and I hit the floor.

''Betty, go and get Ashton, he's on this floor, at the end of this corridor, think its B12'' I hear Chloe's voice, as I close my eyes tightly and blink them open, ''Thank fuck you're awake, Laura!'' I hear her say, as I feel cold air hitting my face making me frown and look at her, ''Where am I?'' I ask, looking around the classroom.

''Back in the classroom babe, you passed out as we walked out, Jackie came rushing out, put air con on and she's gone to get you some water, you should be fine'' Chloe explains, making me nod slightly and lean my head against the wall, ''She thinks it's because of the heat and you might need more water'' She adds, making me sigh and open my eyes again as the door opens.

''Sweetheart?'' Ashton frowns, rushing over to me and bending down next to me, as I give him a small smile ''Hi'' I mumble, making him laugh slightly, ''Are they sending her home?'' He asks Chloe, looking up at her as she frowns ''Jackie hasn't said anything, but I guess she will be'' Chloe answers him, just as Jackie comes back in with a bottle of water.

''Here you go, I've rang your mother, but she can't pick you up right now and we can't just send you home'' Jackie explains, as I take a sip of the water and frown ''I can sign out and take her, honestly is no problem because I'm not doing much and my tutors not even in'' Ashton explains, Jackie bites her lip, before nodding.

''Promise you won't leave if I am?'' I mumble to Ashton, as he sits on the chair next to the bed I'm laying on, ''I promise babe, please believe me'' He comments, making me smile at him slightly, before the midwife walks into the room and stands next to the bed.

''Hi I'm Amy Wright, I'll be checking and if you're, I'll be your midwife all the way through and doing the delivery'' She introduces herself making me smile, ''I'm Laura and this is my boyfriend Ashton'' I introduce the both of us, making her smile and shake both of our hands.

''This may be a little cold'' She warns, as she puts the gel on my stomach, making me bite my lip slightly, I watch then as she places the wand over my stomach and starts moving it around, as then I look at the screen, watching as all the weird things happen, before she stops moving it and a little blob is on the screen, making me bite my lip.

''Congratulations, you're 8 weeks pregnant and here is your baby'' She says, showing us the blob, I look over at Ashton has his hold on my hand tightens as he looks at the screen, making me smile slightly, ''I can already tell you will have the baby in August'' She says, making me laugh slightly ''Watch her be born on my birthday'' I mutter, making the woman laugh slightly, ''A couple more appointments and I will be able to tell you gender and the date you will be expected to have the baby'' She explains, making us both nod and bite my lip.

''Just make your next appointment at the front desk'' She explains, as she hands me the envelope with the ultrasounds in, before we both walk out and join the line at reception, I look up at Ashton as he wraps his arm around me and pulls me close, making me smile slightly, as the man at the desk shouts me over.

''Next appointment for you will be 18th December, at half 4, ring up if any problems'' He explains, handing me a slip with the appointment on, before we leave and get into Ashton's car, where I take a deep breath and run my hand through my hair.

''Where gonna me parents'' He mutters, making me look at him and smile slightly ''Are you mad?'' I ask, making him look at him and smile ''No, of course I'm not mad babe, I wasn't sure at first, but seeing that, made me notice that we actually are gonna have a baby, I'm excited'' He smiles, making me nod agreeing with him, ''Though I am terrified'' I mumble, making him smile and lean over, kissing my cheek.

So I guess we will be having a future.

So she's pregnant, what are you thoughts about that?
