Elena and I decided to invite Bonnie over to get ready for the Founder's Party tonight. She was already going by herself so we didn't want to make her get ready by herself as well. We felt bad as it was. Elena left to go give Tyler the box that his mom needs for the party tonight while Bonnie and I stayed in the kitchen going through the different nail polish Elena and I had. We were trying to help her get ready and all dressed up for Stefan because Bonnie and I didn't really have somebody to impress. Yes, a few weeks ago I would have been all for looking amazing just in case Damon happened to show up, but now I could care less about what he thought of me. Also, I'm still a little freaked out by what happened yesterday so doing this for Elena is taking my mind off of it. Bonnie finally found some nail polish she liked and held them out to me, causing me to nod my head with a smile. I began going through my makeup so I could find some colors that I liked for Elena as well. We sat in silence for a moment before Elena came back.
"Delicate Flower versus Naughty Vixen," Bonnie suggested.
Elena walked over to the counter to grab paper towels before she returned back to the table. "Tough call. Can we mix them?"
Bonnie and I smiled at her as she walked back to the table and sat down. Bonnie began arranging everything to start on Elena's nails as Elena admired both colors to choose which one she wanted.
"Look at you, getting all pretty for your date. You seem happy-ish," Bonnie said to her as she dug through her cosmetic bag.
"I am-ish," Elena replied back to her before giving Bonnie a knowing look. "Tonight's gonna be a good night. But don't let that stop you from telling us whatever it is you wanted to tell us as soon as you walked in the door."
I looked up when she said this, seeing Bonnie give Elena and I a reluctant look before looking down to avoid eye contact. "What if I tell you in the morning? I don't want to ruin the night."
Elena gave her an annoyed look and shoved everything away from her before giving her a serious look. "Bonnie, out with it."
Bonnie stayed silent for a few seconds before she finally gave into Elena's looks. "Okay, but it has to go in the vault because Caroline will kill me if it gets back to Damon that she squealed."
I scoffed when she said this, causing the two of them to look at me. "Caroline told you this? And she heard it from Damon? Well, this ought to be good. Please, Bonnie, tell me what lie Damon has come up with this week."
Elena gave me a patronizing look before looking back at Bonnie so she could continue. "Apparently, Stefan has a very interesting back story."
"Uh-huh," Elena said in acknowledgment.
"Do you know what happened with his ex-girlfriend Katherine," Bonnie questioned her suspiciously.
"I know what Bella and Stefan have both told me. Which is that they both dated her and that's why they have issues," Elena answered her with a confused face.
