IX. WILL READING

When Enoch and Betty walk into their house, they are surprised to see Polly. And two babies in both Chic and Alice's hands. "Polly. What are you doing home again?" Betty asked as she set her stuff down. "She just walked through the door with these perfect babies." Alice said and Enoch smiles widely, pulling Polly into a hug before pulling apart to walk over to his mom as Polly hugged Betty next, "I thought it would be nice to surprise mom." She says then pulls away to whisper something to Betty.

"You have to hold one." Alice says with a grin as she handed the baby in her hands to Enoch who was smiling widely, holding the baby in his arms. "Here, Betty." Enoch says, holding the baby out but Betty goes over to Chic instead, picking the baby up from his arms and turning to her twin brother and older sister with a grin on her face.

"Where's dad? Are we gonna go to the will reading together?" Polly asked as she looks at her mom who looks away from Enoch and at her. "What will reading?" She asked and Polly is confused. "What? Dad hasn't told you?" She asked and Enoch makes a confused look, looking to their mom.

"What's this will reading you speak of?" Sweet Pea asked on the phone as Enoch dug through his clothes. "Some sort of like, will reading of Clifford Blossom, I'm related to the Blossoms, SP, catch up.. I am of relation to that wretched family and it's why my family is so worried about me getting shot like Jason, because it's-it's like some sort of curse, siblings turning on one another and then a father kills his son.." He trails off as he finally found a button up shirt which he starts to put on.

"Enoch, stop talking like that.." Sweet Pea whispers and Enoch almost couldn't hear him but it made him really think, made him sad and worry he said something wrong. "Anyway.. Now I have to look for proper and appropriate clothing for this thing.." He says and Sweet Pea hums.

"I'd say, wear a pair of black pants with, the button up you just picked out and a belt then your pair of converse." Sweet Pea says and Enoch's face scrunched up. "What? How did you-" "I'm right outside your window." The serpent said and Enoch rushed over, opening the window quickly.

The taller teen climbed in quickly, now standing in front of him and the first thing he does is pull him into a hug. Sweet Pea hugs back right away, rubbing Enoch's back as he rested his chin on the top of the Northsider's head. When he finally pulled away, he didn't pull away fully as he stares up at Sweet Pea who stares down at him, putting his hand to his face gently and smiling slightly at him.

"I-I really wish we could be public about us.." He whispers and Sweet Pea smiles slightly. "Me too.." He whispers and Enoch leans up, pressing his lips to Sweet Pea's own. "I promise.. I'll try and get coming out to my family over with first, then we can talk about it, okay?" He says and Sweet Pea nods. "I'm okay with whatever, as long as you're comfortable." He says and Enoch just smiles again.

He leans up again, pressing another kiss to Sweet Pea's lips before walking away and over to the shirt he picked out. "I think I will.. wear these, this and these." He says, taking out the stuff Sweet Pea named on the phone call. "E, you're gonna be the hottest person at that will reading." The Serpent said making the shorter teen start blushing right away.

"Right after Betty." He says making Enoch look at him with a glare right away. "Joking, obviously." He said right away and the Northsider just rolled his eyes, looking away. "I'm gonna go get dressed, be right back." He says, picking up the clothes and walking over to his bathroom. "Or you could get dressed out here." The taller boy said and Enoch rolls his eyes once again as he shuts the door behind him.

Once fully dressed, Enoch throws his other clothes into the laundry hamper before walking out and making a small spin, "how do you think?" He says and Sweet Pea smiles right away. "If I could, I'd take those clothes off you as fast as you put them on." He says making Enoch start blushing again. "Sweet Pea, I meant how does it look?" He said, putting his hands together shyly in front of him.

At the will reading, Enoch sat between Betty and their father as Polly sat on the other side of Betty. "I, Clifford Cochrane Blossom, being of sound mind and body do here inscribe the terms of my will and last testament. Firstly, ownership of Thistlehorn will stay with our beloved matriarch, Roseanne Blossom. To my wife and partner Penelope, I leave ownership of our greatest treasure, Thornhill, the exquisite mansion she made a home." The man said and Enoch looks at Betty who puts her hand on his arm with a small smile on her face. He smiles back before looking away and putting his hand on hers.

"Now, the reason I contacted you and you travelled to be here. Any and all remaining assets of my fortune will be divided in half. The first half will be distributed equally to anyone in Riverdale who can prove, with medical authentication, that even one drop of Blossom blood flows through their veins." The man said and that's when Alice walked in. "I knew it," she said making them all look to her.

"Alice? What the hell are you doing here?" Hal said, now standing up as Betty, Polly and Enoch look to each other. "Accusing you publicly. You only wanted a divorce so that you could cheat me out of your big fancy Blossom payday." She said and Enoch sighed, facepalming. "Not just my payday. The girls and Enoch share Blossom blood too." He says and Enoch looks up at them again.

"My lawyer is gonna rip you apart. Isn't that right, attorney McCoy?" Alice says and all of them look to the woman who doesn't speak as she then continued, "I will be taking half of whatever blood money you get from this inbred cesspool of a family. Yeah, that's right, I said inbred." She says and Enoch stood up. "Mom," he starts but Penelope stood up as well, "would you leave?" She asked.

"Shut your face, you half-melted, ten cent trollop." Alice said and Enoch's eyes widen. "This is reviting, I can't breathe." Toni says and Enoch sighed. "Mom! You have to go.." He says and Alice looks at him. After Alice left, Enoch sat back down. "Now that the, uh, interloper has been escorted from the premises, we can finish our business. As I was saying.. The other half of my fortune will go to my true heirs, Jason and Cheryl." The man says and Cheryl stood up, walking over to the stand. Right as she started talking, Enoch's phone started buzzing so he gets up and leaves the room, ignoring the disapproving look from his dad as he exited the room, answering the call from Sweet Pea. He walks out the house, "hello?"

"Enoch! Hey, I'm sorry if I'm interrupting anything-" "No, you're not.. What's up?" He says as he walks towards the car he used with Polly and Betty and leans on the hood. "I-I just wanted someone to talk to.. And you're my only opinion.. Can you come meet with me?" Sweet Pea asked and Enoch takes out his keys, "yeah, on my way.."
