The Chase Begins

Nearly the entire ride to Verona's 'incredibly hot' party that was being thrown by Chase, a good friend of mine and her boyfriend, she rambled on about college and how fun it was going to be, I couldn't have agreed more. I was incredibly ready to go to college though I was worried for my father who would inevitably be alone. I did not know what happened to my mother, though from small thing my dad had told me, she was a beautiful woman and i looked much like her. I've also learned she had died though I hadn't the slightest idea how. But seeing the pain in his eyes when he spoke of it, I knew better than to ask for details.

"And living off campus is gonna be fun! We can finally be alone! But obviously we will live near campus... How else are we gonna go to college parties and have a fun time?" She ranted with a bright dreamy smile. It made me grin.

"Oh of course! Partying will definitely be the highlight of my time, not the schooling itself and becoming an adult, for real this time." I replied sarcastically as I parked outside Chase's large house. Music bumped from inside which hummed through the walls and was able to be heard from outside as well. It looked like a good turn out like always. Chase knew house to throw a great party.

"Don't be such a downer, of course school will come second." She joked with a smirk, getting out the car. Though her comment came off as a joke I knew there was some truth to it. Verona never had to work hard for school, everything came naturally to her and she never studied and still managed to pass with all A's, all four years of highschool. So there was no doubting she'd be partying all night and going to class and work all day. I on the other hand, though most came rather simple to me, was paranoid and refused not to study. I had also kept all A's, but I worked for them even when I didn't have to.

The redhead's slim body slipped out the car and waited for me with a bright grin on her freckled face. I followed suit and got out, walking around the car and over to her.

"Alright let's do this!" My voice was sarcastic, although I'd be lying if I said I wasn't at least interested in seeing where this little party would lead. I knew Verona better than anybody and she was a minx at heart. Her hips swayed like no other while her green eyes were always hooded, shaded in sexuality and mischief. She was a vixen. I, however, did not know how she kept up the act.

I of course knew how to seduce if I wanted to, but her actions were always so natural, she didn't have to think about the way her body moved or the way she talked, she just did.

"Is someone, nervous?" She grinned wickedly, snapping me out of my thoughts. Her words making me laugh.

"Nervous? Me? When have you ever known me to be nervous of anything?"

She laughed loudly and pulled me towards the door; "Well I'm sorry, I forgot. Not Everyone can be so put together your h--"

Her words were cut off by Chase, swinging open the door with a wide, tipsy grin. It of course was directed to the hot redhead to my left.

I had to hide my smirk.

He had no idea what he was in for.

"M'ladies," He lowered his voice and bowed his light brown head with a smirk, keeping his eyes trained on Verona's who lifted her chin with a smirk, watching his every move. "Welcome, make yourselves at home, refreshments are yours to ravish."

Keep it in your pants Chase.

"Well thank you. I'll meet you inside, Verona." I replied, my voice light as my smirk grew. I walked past the tall, built boy and into the loud house. The living room and kitchen were filled with ex-schoolmates. Most tipsy, some drunk... others rubbing against each other to the beat of the music. I had a feeling this night would be long, but 'action packed'.
