How many has it been since you and Shouto started dating?

Let's see... second year of U.A... three plus three... six years now.

Despite all that... your Shouto had been so cold recently. Those little moments that you so treasured, going to the movies, eating dinner together, cuddling on the sofa with ice cream afterward... they were all but gone.

You felt nothing from him. But you still gave him all your love. You cherished Shouto above anyone else...

But he seemed to take in your love and gave nothing back, leaving you cold.

What... what happened? Why so suddenly? Did you do something? Was it work? Another girl? And why is this realization happening now?

You curled up under the covers, quiet sobs and hiccups pouring out of you. Maybe it's best to break up. I've been crying alone for too long now.

You heard the door open. You sighed and closed your eyes. Perhaps it's best to just feign sleep and deal with this tomorrow. After all, I don't have the heart to face him.

His firm footsteps were heard coming up the stairs before they morphed into tiptoes as he neared the bed. To your surprise, instead of beelining to the showers and leaving you, you felt him trying to uncover you from your fortress of blankets. You panicked slightly, you couldn't let him see you like this!

But before you could do anything, the safety of your blanket was removed, and your red and upset was face to face with his.

His handsome features were frowning slightly, and he looked slightly disheveled from the wind outside.

He looked pained, as he took in your pitiful state. He kneeled down and gently brushed your hair out of your eyes.

"(Y/n). I'm sorry." He said, a genuine softness in his eyes.

Your puffy eyes widened. How did he know what you were feeling?

"I know I've been distant lately... but I promise you that it was for good reason. I... I only just realized how emotionless I've been towards you these past couple months.

You sniffled up at him in bewilderment. Good reason? What reason could justify the coldness?

He sighed, and crawled in the bed with you, pulling you up from your sleeping position and into his lap.

His hands hesitated, before wrapping around your waist and pulling you firmly into him.

You were shocked. When was the last time you two cuddled like this? Months ago?

His warm breath tickled your neck.

You let out a sigh... you were craving his warmth. This is what you needed. You felt something sharp in his pocket poke you and gently shifted to a more comfortable position.

"S-shouto... after all these months... why are you suddenly so affectionate?"

"Because I missed you." He said flatly and pressed a small kiss onto your neck.

You fiddled with the covers in front of you.

"Then why did you act so distant in the first place?" You tried to not sound accusing.

Shouto paused for a moment, before shifting his hand into his pocket. You couldn't quite see what he was doing, as he was behind you.

"I was waiting for the right moment, but I suppose that moment is now." He said, taking the object out of his pocket.

"(Y/n). I've been taking extra shifts at my job because I wanted to get you something." It couldn't be...

"I... I know I don't say this enough... but I love you. I love you so much and I'm so sorry for making you cry like this."

His arms encircled you once more, and in his hands, a small white box.

You jolted and your hands shot to your mouth, dislodging Shouto a bit and almost causing him to drop that small little box. Tears streamed down faster than ever before.

"I was working more to save up for a ring."

He opened the box from behind you, revealing a beautiful ring that was more stunning then you could ever have even dreamt.

Your shaking hands settled around Shouto's scarred ones.

"(Y/n)... will you honor me with your love, and be by my side forever?"

The tears started pouring out again. You spun around in Shouto's lap so that you were facing him.

"You stupid stupid idiot!" You laughed through your tears, as you pounded his chest with your fists. Every emotion ran through you... but the ones that shone through has happiness and relief.

"Was that what this was all for?!" You let out a last chuckle, before settling on a relieved smile.

You gently lay your head on his shoulder. His warm arms pressed gently against your back.

"Of course I'll marry you."
