Todoroki - Wolfsbane Pt.1

Edge of Insanity has me in a Todoroki mood. Anyways, im sticking to the under 2000 word rule so this will be split into two parts. Honestly this could probably read as a complete story by itself though. The reader has a transform into a wolf quirk. Enjoy! */

"1 hour, 25 minutes, 30 seconds." Todoroki stated, phone in hand. He raised an eyebrow at you. "Are you ready?" 

You nodded and he clicked the start button. Closing your eyes, you willed the change to overtake you: your back curved downwards as your limbs lengthened and thinned out. The hair on your head receded and grew thicker as your face started to protrude, jaw lengthening and teeth growing. Your clothing melted into a furry pelt, and you grew larger and larger in size. Within moments, there was not a human, but a wolf in front of Todoroki.

You opened your eyes, seeing the familiar change in height, improved peripheral vision and lack of certain colors. Sitting down, you let out a short howl to tell him you were done transforming.

Todoroki came up to you, hesitantly giving you a pat on the head and looking slightly in awe at your new body. You wagged your tail, pushing your nose into his hand affectionately. He had the cutest smile on his face.

It was funny how touchy-feely people got with you when you transformed. Maybe it was the fact that everyone wanted to pet a majestic friendly wolf, and so they forgot that there was a very conscious human inside that wolf body. Normally you would lose your patience at people who tried to touch you because frankly, it was embarrassing and a little degrading (it's weird to be touched by people, wolf or not), but for Todoroki you'd let it slide. 

After all, Todoroki would never pat your head under normal circumstances, so you treasured the moments when he unashamedly patted the soft fur on your head. Honestly, you were sad that he only showed affection to this side of you. You couldn't see how a giant wolf was more approachable than you were as a human.

"Alright, I'll start now." He stated, pulling away and rolling up his sleeves. You backed away as well as he started firing spikes of ice and bursts of flames, and you danced away from his attacks. The two of you had developed a fun game to train--if he successfully incapacitated you, he would win. If you managed to touch him in any way, you would win. You got agility training and he got practice creating ice and fire, so it was a win-win on both sides.

Cracking sounds of shattering ice and the loud whoosh of fire alerted your senses every time he tried to attack you, and you nimbly sprinted and jumped out of danger. Darting between rising whorls of ice, you tried to inch your way closer to him. Whenever he caught sight of your fleeting form, Todoroki tried to trap you, but of course, you wouldn't let him.

Dashing from side to side you finally spotted your opportunity. Todoroki had unwillingly blocked his vision to his left with a tall ice tower. He seemed to notice as well, and between trying to catch you, he was intermittently melting the spike down. Slipping behind the tower, you sprinted a circle around the back to confuse him, before leaping out from behind. Todoroki turned in surprise and raised a hand to stop you but you landed on him before he could act, knocking him to the ground. He let out a gasp as the wind escaped him. You let out a low growl as you pushed your paws against his chest and snarled at him to assert your victory.

Stepping back, you nimbly avoided his outspread limbs (it's not like you've quashed his stomach in the past, no of course not) and sat down next to him. The two of you rested there for a moment, catching your breaths. 

He sat up with a groan. "You win. Good game." 

You wagged your tail in response before trotting over to the nearby bench and nudging the phone that sat on it. You looked at him expectantly and he walked over to turn it on for you.
