Chapter 15- The End

The Shadows crowded around you, Hakus shouts barely audible over the the sounds of you tearing the things apart. Nothing was going to hurt him again. You ripped and crashed through the Spirts as they attempted to tackle and subdue you. You fought with all you had, and when you got tired, you used it too fight some more. They just never backed off, never leaving a moment to breath or regroup. You were slowing down. Slowly but surely, you were getting lazy with your attacks. Your breathing was becoming laboured and the panic was stating to set in.

They noticed.

They took their chance and grabbed you, grabbed anything they could on your body. You let out a strangled gasp as a brawny cold hand wrapped around your neck. The leader of these treacherous things walked out behind Haku. The Shadows parted for him to get a good look at you. You had shifted back into your human form and were prying at the cold hands around your neck.

"Let her go! Please!" Haku was begging... he was truly begging. You looked over the spirits shoulder too see the tears rolling down his cheeks. He met your gaze and you both froze in time. How was it that the Master Haku, has become such an important person in your life so very quickly? It was as if your mid. had found its other half.

The Leader moved closer and growled.
"Look at me." it spoke low and threatening. You didn't. You kept your eyes locked with Hakus. He was so sad, sad and helpless and you couldn't do anything to help him.

"Look at me!" It boomed and grabbed your chin snapping your head back to his. You felt it now, the tears stung your eyes. You wouldn't look at it, you kept looking at Haku, a silent conversation shooting back and forth. His eyes widened as the Lead Shadow put a dagger in your leg, shoving the weapon into your thigh and twisting it, lodging it in place. You screamed in pain and he roared in frustration. "Let her go! Take me, please! I'll do anything." He bargained, shouting... pleading. The tears streamed down your face, the pain in your leg blossoming into something bigger. "Look at me." it said again ignoring Haku. This time you did. And you put as much hate and venom in your gaze as you could possibly muster. It narrowed its white eyes and grabbed the dagger, pulling it out of your leg. You screamed again and then bit your lip, "You shall bleed to death you insolent fool" it spoke harshly and vicious. The shadows around you dropped you onto the ground clipping one of those collars around your neck. You lay on the ground, not able to move with the pain.

"Y/N! Look at me, please! Talk! Do something..." Haku was back to begging. It didn't suit him. You slowly rotated your head to meet his gaze. "I think this is the end Haku.." you said quietly searching his eyes.
"No we are going to get out of this, don't worry." he spoke urgently and tried in veing to break free. "No Haku, perhaps fate chose today to be the day. Sometimes people are meant to go early." you spoke with sadness and he froze in the middle of his attempts.

"Listen to me Y/N. You're not going to die, I won't let you. So stay with me, keep talking and I'll get us out of this." he went back to scrambling around against the ropes. You sighed sadly.

"I would die for you."
