Following Yoongi's advice, I made my way out of the studio hall and went to the hall adjacent to the previous one. Immediately I heard music being blasted from a room with a propped open glass door at the end of the hall and I knew he was there. I anxiously made my way further, the music only getting louder and my nerves growing. Why are you nervous? I scolded myself. He's your best friend of over 5 years, you have nothing to be nervous about.

I walked straight through the open door and my eyes widened at the sight, my cheeks flushing. Yoongi couldn't have at least given me a warning?

Jungkook was in the room, that was for sure. He was also across the room, shirtless, and doing push ups facing the large windows that made up the wall. He was quite in the zone, so he hadn't noticed me enter, singing along to the music with a steady voice, probably from all the stamina building and controlled breathing you get from being an idol. I could see his face courtesy of the mirror wall he was parallel to. His hair was sticking to his forehead due to sweat, and perspiration was dripping off of him. As he worked out, I noticed his defined muscles at work and averted my eyes, feeling awkward that this was my best friend, the same scrawny kid I met all those years back.

I hurried to the stereo from which the music was playing and unplugged his phone, making him halt his push ups and whip his head around to discover the culprit. When he saw me shoot him an awkward wave a bright smile lit his face. He hopped on his feet and exclaimed, "Mina! What a surprise!" I gulped noticing how low his sweatpants were hanging on his torso and mumbled a casual, "Hey."

Jungkook grabbed a towel that was hanging and quickly wiped his face and chest, my eyes following his movements, before I snapped back to reality and again looked away. He noticed this and neared me with a taunting smirk on his face, running a hand through his damp hair. "I'm not the same as in high school, huh?" He teased.

My throat went dry. "Nope," I wheezed. I frantically scanned the room before my eyes settled on a white t-shirt strewn across the same table as the stereo. I scrambled for it it and pushed it against Jungkook's chest. "Please put on some clothes."

Jungkook just continued with that suggestive smile as he placed his palm over my hand, trapping it against his chest. He leaned closer to me. "If that's what you want you're gonna have to do it for me."

I squeezed my eyes shut before making an uncomfortable grunt and lightly hitting his chest with my free hand. "Yah! Stop being weird!"

I heard a laugh as my hand was released from his clutch. I peaked my eyes open to see Jungkook putting on the shirt and let out a sigh of relief, giving him a what-the-fuck look. "You're just too easy," he laughed. I rolled my eyes at him.

We decided to head over to his studio to talk. As we made our way down the hall we passed by Yoongi. I glared at him and flipped him off and in reply he laughed and mockingly shrugged at me. Jungkook lead me into his studio, instructing me to sit on the couch as he took a seat in the chair in front of his desk which he turned around in to face me.

"You know you almost gave Jiwoo a heart attack last night. And Hoseok." He mentioned to which I guiltily nodded my head. "And me." I glanced at him to see a soft look on his face and I felt my shoulders relax. "I'm just glad you're okay and safe."

"Thank you, Kookie, for coming to help. It means more to me than you know." I truthfully stated feeling grateful for him and the other people in my life.

He just happily smiled at me. "I've always got your back, Mina. Just like you've got mine, like always." I smiled at him, feeling nostalgic.

I bit my lip as I contemplated how to shift the conversation. He sat patiently, respectfully giving me time to gather my thoughts. I took a breath and started, "Have you seen any news lately? Regarding you... and me?"
