Mark and I ended the day both lying in my twin size bed, exhausted after cleaning up the kitchen. Despite my cramped room, we were both perfectly comfortable in each other's close company. Our sides were pressed against each other's and our hands were intertwined, quietly enjoying our time together. I was startled when Mark suddenly shot up, causing me to place a hand over my sporadic heart.

"Do you have a laptop I can borrow?" Mark questioned. I perked an eyebrow up at his request and hesitantly reached over, grabbing it from my nightstand and handing it over to him. He explained excitedly, "I want to show you a recent performance we did on a TV show! Like not a music show, an actual program!"

I grinned seeing his eyes light up and clapped my hands together, sitting up in anticipation. Mark opened my laptop, which had only been on sleep mode, and the screen turned on right away. As soon as his eyes grazed the screen, his face fell at what he saw, and I felt my soul leave my body. Shit, I thought as I realized my school enrollment page was still open along with my plane ticket purchase transaction. Mark analyzed the contents of the screen before slowly shutting my laptop, hesitantly turning to me. "Why didn't you tell me you were leaving for Canada tomorrow? And, not to mention, for 4 years?" Mark's voice was cold but laced with hurt.

I gulped, nervously playing with my sleeve since I couldn't meet his eyes. I felt utterly guilty, but honestly it hadn't been on purpose. I really did plan on telling him, but with everything that's been happening it had slipped my mind. It was all a spur of the moment thing after the heartbreaking events that had played out, but after some serious consideration I had decided to stick with my decision figuring it would be beneficial for my growth and future career. "I promise I was going to tell you-"

Mark cut me off. "When? When you were already 30,000 feet in the air?"

"Mark, please believe me, I didn't mean to hide this. I just forgot with all that's been going on." I pleaded my case, now looking at Mark with sincere eyes. "I love you."

He thought for a moment then sighed. "I know, I'm sorry for being too sensitive. I know this is your dream and all, I was just caught off guard."

I placed my hand on Mark's thigh and he placed his hand over mine. "You don't have anything to apologize for. I'm the one at fault here."

Mark began massaging my hand with his thumb. "I'm always going to support you, Mina, I won't hold you back from accomplishing your dreams." Since we were sitting side-by-side, I used my free hand to cup his face and turn him to meet my gaze. I gave him a sweet kiss. "I don't care about distance, either, we're going to make this work."

"How can you be so perfect? How am I so lucky?" I questioned to myself while lovingly gazing into his captivating eyes. "Thank you." We returned to laying back down, and we fell asleep in each other's arms, a smile lingering on my face.

--

I was jolted awake by the sound of my door being thrust open, an insufferable and high-pitched voice filling the once quiet room. "Hey, Unnie, can I borrow-"

I quietly groaned before sitting up slightly on my elbows, seeing my sister frozen with her hand on the knob, her jaw dropped and mouth agape as she stared at the sleeping figure beside me. I glanced at the time to see it was 6 AM. "What?!" I harshly whispered to Hana. I was immensely exasperated.

She stared at Mark for a few more seconds before she regained composure. "Can I borrow your high-tops for school today?"

I glared daggers at her. "Get the fuck out of my room!"

She flipped me off before leaving, taking one last entranced glance at my boyfriend and muttering, "We're talking about this later". I heaved a breath once she finally left and lied back down, pecking Mark's cheek as he soundly slept before snuggling back into his warm hold.

--

When I woke again, there was a considerable more amount of sun shining through the window than before. I stretched my arms out, reaching beside me only to feel nothing but an empty space. I pouted slightly since I'd hoped to wake up beside Mark again like the other day.

I sat up and scratched my head, examining every corner of my room to see if he was hiding anywhere, but found nothing. As I was about to swing my legs off the bed to get up, my door swung open to a much more pleasant sight than my intruding younger sister.

Mark had his usual bright smile on as he carried a tray in. I cracked a smile laughed, shaking my head at the sight of the bowl of cereal and singular spoon. Mark brought it over to me. "I'm not much of a cook, but I wanted to surprise you for your last day in Korea."

I caressed Mark's cheek as he took a seat beside me, leaning into him. "I love it, you can't go wrong with cereal. Thanks, babe."

He pecked  the top of my head. "Anything for you. Now hurry up, by the looks of it you still have some packing to do."
