Your day had been very boring so far. You avoided everyone during your classes. You knew that everybody probably disliked you, but you didn't regret doing what you had done. You just wanted to get it off your chest. You didn't pay attention in any class. You were too busy thinking. You wondered what would have happened if you had answered the call. What if you could have saved her? Your thoughts got cut off by the lunch bell. You finished changing and took your stuff. You were walking to the lunch line when Jimin appeared out of nowhere.

"Hey," he said.

"Hey," you answered lacking emotion.

"Was it true?"

"What?"

"Did those girls really treat my Jennie like that?"

"Yeah."

"I wish I knew. I would have helped her."

"She didn't want you to worry. If it wasn't for her I would have told you right away. She told me to be quiet."

"You know Dianne listened and took down the mini memorial for you."

"I didn't do it for me. I did it for her." You continued walking. You finally made it to the lunch line. Jungkook caught up with you guys, and stood next to you. The three of you took your lunch and sat back down. You guys were very silent. You just ate your lunch.

The rest of the school day was equally as boring. Even though you had your last two classes with Kook you were both silent. You turned in your posters to Mrs. Jimenez after school.

You were walking out of school with Jungkook when you noticed all the posters for prom. So much had been happening lately that you completely forgot about it. You didn't know if you should go. You hardly ever went to school dances. You went to a few with Jennifer, but you didn't have anyone to go with after she left. You knew your mom would insist since this would be the last high school dance you would ever go to, but you felt like prom was pricey and overrated. You decided to think about it. Jungkook noticed that you were staring at the prom posters for a while.

"Oh I completely forgot about that," he said scratching the back of his head. He had completely forgotten about prom, and even about graduation. He felt like only yesterday he was a freshmen, and now he is one step away from going to college.

"Yeah me too." You sighed. Your mom always tried to convince you to go to every school dance and it was already difficult. You knew it would be extremely hard to convince your mom that you didn't want to go to prom. You didn't have anything to wear, and the news about Jennifer did not put you in the mood for any dance.

"Are you planning on going?"

"I don't think so, but I am not sure. I guess i'll think about it."

"Yeah me too." You walked towards the exit again. He followed. You were praying that the principal had actually kept her promise and hadn't called your mom. You had told your mom in the morning that you were okay and that you could "move on". What you did earlier was the complete opposite of "moving on", but you still didn't regret any of it. "Why did you do it?"

"What?" Jungkook's question caught you off guard.

"Why did you yell at the whole school?"

"You know why."

"Yeah I do, but I want to hear it from you. Why?"

"Because like you said, Jennifer didn't want a funeral because she didn't want people faking that they ever cared. Well, the memorial was the same thing. They were going to write a whole bunch of nice things when they couldn't be nice to her. They were going to pretend like they actually liked her as a person when they literally made her feel horrible."

"I know the principal was mad and all, but I think you did the right thing."

"Yeah I don't regret it. I don't care if they hate me anymore. They just need to stop being hypocrites."

"Yeah."

You kept walking. You saw your mom's car and you took a deep breath hoping that she would be clueless. Jungkook was coming home with you, today. You were going to work on homework together. You wanted him there just in case you needed someone. You weren't past what happened to Jennifer. I mean it was only yesterday. You really did not want to be alone right now. You both got into your mother's car. She had a smile on her face which you took as a sign that she didn't know.

"How was your day guys?" she asked in a happy tone. You felt relieved.

"Interesting. The news about Jenn spread faster than I expected." You put your worry in the back of your mind.

"Oh really?"

"Yup, they set up a whole memorial for her. THAT fast, but then they took it down due to some issues.

"Oh wow."

"Yeah, and the principal couldn't care less."

"Just have patience, honey, everything will make sense soon."

"I hope so."

The rest of the car ride was pretty much silent except for the songs on the radio that played. Your mom sang a long sometimes, but besides that no sound was heard. You stared out the window while Jungkook just fidgeted with the heart pendant that hung from the bracelet you gifted him. You got home and went upstairs. You led Jungkook to your room. This time you were both going to change since his mother made sure to drop off extra clothes for him in the morning.

"I'll lead you to the bathroom." You grabbed on to the door knob ready to walk out of your room.

"Or I could changed right here in front of you. I mean it's not like you haven't seen me already."

"Come on, Kook, don't mess around let's go." You walked out of the room and he followed. You went to your bathroom door and opened it. You signaled for him to walk in. He walked in and before you could close the door he kissed you. You kissed back. He then pulled away.

"You know I love you, right?" He looked at you in the eyes. He felt as if he always needed to remind you that he loved you since Jimin regretted not doing so with Jennifer.

"Yeah I know. But I love you more?"

"I don't think that's possible."

"Yet I made it possible. Now, if you excuse me I have to go changed." You exchanged a smile with him and you walked back into your room. You changed into another crop top and a skirt. You weren't the biggest fan of skirts, but you liked this one. You were fixing your skirt when Jungkook knocked. You walked towards the door and opened it. He was wearing a simple over sized white t-shirt and a pair of jeans. You wondered how he could look good in everything. "Are you ready?"

"Yup." He said popping the "p". You held onto his hand as you walked downstairs together. Something smelled different. You knew something was different today. You walked downstairs and you were surprised at who you saw.
