Chapter 5- My First Friend, My First Shift

Luna POV

'Phew', I sigh of exhaustion, flopping down onto my hotel bed, all my shopping bags surrounding me. 

Sienna can shop, that's for damn sure. 

She dragged me all around Fifth Avenue, making me buy literally everything and anything that I looked at, or she thought would look good on me. I think Ryan and the guys could skip their workout for the day because of all the walking and carrying bags they had to do. 

I really enjoy Sienna, it's nice to have someone like me, that can still find the positives of the world and be bubbly and happy even though they've been through a lot. It reminds me, I am strong, I am a survivor. She's my first friend I've had in a while. My first New York City friend. I smile at the thought. 

Maybe I really could have a life here. I also hit it off with Ryan. He seems scary and tough but he was jokingly trying on things with us in the stores and pretending to walk the catwalk, down the dressing room hall. He made sure I had a good time, and I appreciate the effort. Two friends, two New York City friends. 

And then there's Kaiden, who maybe I have a future with.

 After taking a shower, blow drying my hair and curling it in big loose waves, I get dressed for work, deciding on a white crop tank top, black high wasted jeans, and my black Frye boots. I throw on a leather jacket and wrap a Burberry scarf around my neck, I have to be warm while I'm outside considering it's winter, but I thought the tank would be nice in the hot, crowded bar. With all my new makeup, I'm impressed how well I could cover up my bruises and scrapes. 

Right on time, Kaiden is waiting outside, once again opening the door for me. When I slip inside the back seat, I see a box with a bow on it. "Open it," he orders me, before telling the driver where to take us. '

Holy shit, no way!'  He got me the new iPhone X! I'm in shock just staring at it.

 "You need a phone, this one is secure don't worry. I had one of my computer nerds set everything up for you, including adding a couple contacts. Me, Ryan, Cole-my other main guy you haven't officially met yet, Sienna, a few of the guards from the hotel." 

I smile, opening the camera, I need my first picture for my album and background, so I lean in and snap one of us, smiling at the camera. "Perfect!" I say while setting it to my background. I've really started to get feelings for him. I want to show my gratitude for everything he's done, so I boldly scoot over to him, wrap my arms around his neck, and kiss him. He kisses me back, passionately. Our tongues move together, we're grabbing at each other's hair, his one arm wraps around my waist and pulls me closer. 

He pulls back, beaming at me. "If we continue that, you'll miss your first shift," his eyes are hungry for me.

 We pull up, he leads me to the employee entrance, kisses me once again and wishes me luck. 

Here it goes, my first shift. If only I had knew what, more like who, was coming.
