"What the hell do you want?" Natasha leant toward to camera over the screen so Tony could see her killer expression.
"Nice to see you too Nat, uh... see it might not be obvious to you, but you just performed an unauthorised take off, on an aircraft that hadn't been properly cleared for flight... oh, and then you put shitty ghost mode on like fucking snapchat..." Tony said, getting increasingly serious as he spoke.
"What's your point?" She said, trying to act naive and pretending that the list of issues Tony had just made were completely okay.
"My point?" Tony laughed sarcastically, unsure how he was now the grown up one in the situation. "The point is Romanoff, you're flying illegally, and against orders. Now, either you can turn around, or, I'll come and get you. The choice is yours. Oh, and - the stealth tech that Fury told you was invisible to SHIELD - yeah, I can turn it back off. Just a reassurance for me ya know."
"Screw you Stark." She said angrily. She flicked the switch to turn on stealth mode again, took the mounted camera from the top of the screen in one hand, grabbed her knife with the other, and yanked it out of the controls. She cut the wires with the knife and chucked the useless camera to the back of the jet.

Back on the Helicarrier...
"Stark?! Stark?!" Nick raged, rounding the corner into Tony's lab. "I need you to turn the stealth mode off of the jet that just left the carrier. Now."
Tony turned round with a surprised expression on his face, he had a soldering iron in one hand and the remains of a weird looking gun in the other.
"Oh hey patchy, didn't I tell you? I disabled the deactivation of stealth mode on all ships today so I could update the system. Can't help you there pal." He gave an awkward smile and turned back to the desk.
Once Tony knew Nick couldn't see his face he allowed his eyes to widen and let off a simultaneous eye roll and exhale of breath. He'd almost forgotten that Natasha had even been on the Helicarrier until a few minutes ago... Not that she actually was anymore anyway... But whatever.
"What does that mean exactly?" Nick pressed.
Tony rolled his eyes and set down the tech, turning and leaning against the desk to face Nick. "It means, Fury, that who ever took the jet can turn complete stealth mode on, and I can't turn it off. Oh, and I'll just assume it's Romanoff by the way, you know, since she was apparently on the ship... Thanks for letting me know about that by the way."
"I didn't think it was important. You're busy, she's busy, you both had other things to be doing."
"Yeah... Well... Contrary to popular belief, I do like to speak to the people I work with outside of work. Make sure they're okay... There is a heart in here somewhere. I think." Tony tapped the glowing metal in his chest and looked back up to Nick.
"... And is there a particular reason you wanted to check up on Romanoff? Is there something you aren't telling me?"
"Not anything gigantic. Cap mentioned a couple weeks ago that she'd been acting all secretive... Ya'know, more so than usual. Oh, and there was the whole thing where she went missing for like, a year."
"Well, Stark, I can assure you. Natasha Romanoff is fine. Now-"
Before Nick could finish his sentence, Clint came bursting through the lab door, followed closely by Steve. Clint turned straight to Nick, not seeming to care that Tony was in the room too.
