chapter four : the explanation

Here she was, sneaking out of the mayor's mansion on this fine Saturday night. Munirah was very sneaky when it came to slipping past the guards. They were really stupid and she wondered how the fuck did they get the job to protect her father. Idiots, she thought. Once she was in the clear she crossed the street and walked down the sidewalk.

Munirah then dipped in a dark alley with her hood over her head and those big black sunglasses over her face. She had specifically placed her motorcycle here in this alley. With a push of her button the invisible vehicle began visible again. Before she got on it she had heard footsteps coming from behind her, and the moment a hand came on her shoulder she pulled out her gun, powering it on in the process, and pointed it to the person's forehead quicker than ever. But when she realized who it was she immediately took her finger off the trigger.

"What the actual fuck are you doing here Harry?" Munirah wanted to yell so bad, but she kept her voice low. Not wanting to draw attention to them if anybody walked by, and there were people walking by so she kept her composure. She blew air from her nose and placed her gun back in her trenchcoat, rolling her eyes at the grown ass man who was on his knees pleading for his life.

"P-Please don't shoot me Munirah, please, please, please don't," Harry begged as actual tears started falling down his face. His hands in a prayer as he shook his head from side to side. Sniffing, he soon hiccuped as he started to cry more.

"Get up Harry. I'm not gonna shoot you," Munirah told him with irritation laced in her voice. She couldn't believe this right now.

"You're not?" He sniffed as he looked up at her.

"I will if you won't get your white ass up from the ground," she barked.

He stood up quickly, wiping his tears with the back of his hand as he nodded.

She looked at him with disbelief as she placed her hands on her hips, "What are you doing sneakin' up on me like that? Do you know that I was about two-point-five seconds away from ending your life?"

"I didn't know you had a gun!" Harry shrieked in defense.

"I would have killed you with other without this gun Harry. And keep your voice down, you're talking too loudly," Munirah hushed him.

"Sorry," he murmured, quickly apologizing as he lowered his voice. "L-Look, okay? I saw you and I just wanted to know where you were going."

Munirah gave him a knowing look, "Harry, we talked about this."

"I know but can you please tell me?" Harry begged, not because he was nosey—lie, he was a nosey bastard but he did want to know what she was up to.

Munirah sighed, she knew that she couldn't keep this away from him any longer than she already has, "I'm going to Coppa County."

Harry's emarld green and blue eyes widened, jaw dropping, "Why are you going there for?"

"Because I have stuff to do," she simply told him.

"Munirah, you are the mayor's daughter. If someone finds out about you being over there it'll be in the news in no time. Do you know that you will be dead meat, right? Plus, it'll put your dad in hot water too with the city's people and the press. So why are you taking that risk?" Harry spoke with a serious expression, done with being goofy for a moment. All he was doing is simply looking out for her. He knew all the emotional and verbal abuse she experienced with her father, and he didn't want to see that man destroy his only friend that he had.
