“We’ve been looking for you. The show is going to start soon and we all need to be near the stage.” Harry said, not noticing the position Niall and I had just been in.
“Okay, Harry.” Niall said rushing out the door.
Harry watching him run off and turned back to me with a confused look on his face. “Is everything okay?”
“Everything is fine. Niall and I were bonding actually.” I smiled, trying to pretend that we weren’t just about to possible kiss.
Harry smiled. “That’s great. I knew you two would be okay.”
“You need to get going! I don’t want you to be late to the show because of me.” I said pushing him toward the door.
Harry made it to the show a minute before it was time to go out. “Hey, Lizzy!” Claire said when she saw me.
“Hey Clairebear!”
She rolled her eyes. “Are you just going to start saying that all the time again? I thought you got over that!”
“I just forgot how fun it was to say!” I grinned.
She stuck her tongue out at me. “You suck.”
I laughed. “You love me! You’re coming to the movie night right?” I asked. “I shouldn’t have just assumed that you would want to. We can bail and do something else just you and I if you wanted.” I rambled.
“Liz!” She said shutting me up. “Calm down. I want to go. It’ll be fun.”
“Okay, sorry! I just wanted to be sure.”
It was five o’clock when the boys were finished with their show and ready to head out. “You guys were amazing!” Claire said jumping into Zayn’s arms for a hug.
Zayn quickly kissed her cheek. “Thanks.” He smiled. “We try.” He winked.
Harry threw his arm around me shoulder. “Ew!” I said pushing him away. “You’re all sweaty and gross.”
“It gets hot up there!” He complained.
“I’ll hug you after you’ve showered.”
“You’re mean!” He pouted.
“I just don’t want to get your stink all over me!” I laughed. “It’s nothing personal. I wouldn’t hug any of you right now. Claire is crazy for hugging Zayn.”
“Did you hear that boys?” Harry smirked. “Lizzy wants a group hug from all of us!”
My eyes widened. “You wouldn’t.”
“Oh, we would.” Louis smiled evilly.
“No!” I yelled trying to turn and run but Niall caught me by the waist and they all put their sweaty selves on me. “Air!” I gasped dramatically. “I need air!”
“Okay boys, I think my daughter has suffered enough.” My dad chuckled.
They finally let me go and I ran over to my dad and hugged him. “Thank you, thank you, thank you!” I exclaimed.
“Let’s get back to the hotel, shall we?” My dad suggested.
The boys finally showered and Claire and I made our way over to Louis’ room. Zayn and Claire took up half the couch while Louis and Niall took the other half, leaving Harry, Liam and I on the ground. I knew Liam was watching Harry and I carefully. I was surprised that the others, well Louis and Zayn, hadn’t figured out what was going on between Harry and I yet. We weren’t exactly that discreet.
Harry fell asleep half way through the first movie so I moved to the other side of Liam. “Hi Liam.” I whispered when I sat down.
He smiled at me. “Hi Elizabeth. Has Harry fallen asleep already?” He asked looking over at Harry.
I nodded. “The show must have tired him out more than he realized. You guys really were great tonight.”
“Thank you.” He paused for a minute. “May I ask you something?”
“What is it?” I asked curiously.
“Are you and Harry still a thing?”
“Yes,” I said confused. “Why do you ask?”
He sighed. “Are you cheating on Harry with Niall?”
My jaw dropped. “Excuse me?”
“Please don’t be upset with me.” Liam begged. “I’m only asking because of the way you two have been acting.” I looked down at my hands and fiddled with my fingers. Apparently Niall and I haven’t been discreet either. Not there is a Niall and I but the fact that there is awkwardness ever since he confessed his feelings. “Talk to me, Lizzy. What’s going on?”
I looked up at him with frustrated tears in my eyes. “I don’t know, Liam. I just don’t know anymore.” I got up from the ground and made my way over to the door. I couldn’t be there anymore.
“Don’t leave, Lizzy. I didn’t mean to upset you.” Liam said grabbing my arm, stopping me from leaving the room.
“It’s not your fault, Liam. I’m just so confused.” I put my face in my hands.
Liam took my hands from my face and held them. “What’s going on? Are you doubting your relationship with Harry?” I nodded. “Do you think you have feelings for Niall now?” I shook my head no. “Do you want to go back to my room and talk?” I nodded my head. Liam walked over to the counter and wrote a note letting everyone know where we had gone in case anyone had woken up. “Okay, how about we start with Harry?” Liam suggested when we got to his room.
I sighed. “I really care about Harry and we get along really well. He is so sweet to me, he has eyes that I could get lost in and I do think we are good together but,” I paused.
“But, then there’s Niall?” Liam finished for me.
“Niall has really been there for me when I needed someone. I know I can count on him for anything. He seems to always know what to say to make me feel better when I’m low. He brought Claire out here just to make me smile, Liam. That is the nicest thing anyone has ever done for me. No one has ever shown me that they care that much about me, aside from Claire of course. Niall is my best friend. I mean, I would be lying if I said I didn’t having stronger feelings for him but like I said he’s my best friend. I don’t want to ruin that.” Liam stared at me, stunned. “Please say something, Liam.” I begged.
“Based off of what you just said it’s easy to come to the conclusion of who you would rather be with.” He finally said. “When you were talking about Niall your eyes lit up, like a child in a candy store, but when you spoke of Harry your eyes showed guilt and sadness. You clearly care for him, but he isn’t who your heart wants and you just need to let your head figure that out.”
