Previously on Suspect...

I walked a few houses down before I eventually crossed the street and got into my black 2018 Chevrolet Malibu. Hissing from the headache, I fought through it just to get going. I just needed to get home at this point. Twisting my keys in the ignition, I saw headlights approaching before the force sent my car flying on to the sidewalk and on it's side as I fell to the passenger side. I blacked out as soon as it happened...

{Narrator's Pov}

It's been three weeks since Ember's car was brutally crashed into, leaving her in a coma due to the brain trauma. During these several weeks, a lot has been going on. Previously we saw how this incident affected Nymir, and he's been at the hospital every single day since she was first brought in. Worrying and worrying if he'll ever get to apologize to the girl he carries so close to his heart.

Ember's mother came as soon as she got word. She was out of town when the accident happened and no one could reach her via phone. She was the main one who stayed day and night until her daughter's recovery, while her friends came during the day to visit.

Word on the street about Ember's attack got out fast, a lot of people payed their respects. Co-workers, her boss, old friends, even Ciara came to visit. It wasn't until a some time later that Em started gradually coming out but she was still in a vegetative state.

St Jude Treatment Center
Brownsville, NY

With only Ember's mom and Nymir in the room, Ember suddenly opened her eyes and got the attention of her mother first. She bumped Nymir's arm who was just waking up from a small nap and rushed to her daughter's rescue. Nymir shortly came over and they both witnessed Ember's creepy moment together.

Looking dead ahead at the ceiling above, Ember didn't blink not once and still seemed to be sleeping. Ember's mom then called in the nurses and Nymir quickly called up Tink and Carter to come back upstairs. A few seconds went by and a nurse came in to check on the situation. Feeling Ember's pulse and squeezing her hand before she called in the main doctor to diagnose her.

Both Nymir and Ember's mom were then escorted out of the room as three main doctors rushed in. And by then, Tink and Carter were rushing up to them with questions. "She's awake?"

"We don't know yet, the doctors are checking if everything's okay" Ember's mom said as a doctor coincidentally walked out.

"She's not conscious yet, she's slowly coming to. Her eyes being open is a sign that she's in a vegetative state, common for those in a coma..." The doctor said.

"How long is this going to last? Is she...alive...sleeping like that?"

"Well she's not sleep, sleeping is a state of consciousness and....miss Ramirez isn't conscious at all. She's prone to touch, smell, hearing, and every other sense in her body. She's definitely alive though, a coma wouldn't be the reason for a patient's death, it would be the trauma itself and how bad it damaged the brain. We'll keep checking on her but everything looks good"

Once the doctor left, they all went back into her room again and stood around to be cautious. Ember had her eyes open still, looking straight up at the ceiling without blinking or even moving besides her slow steady breathing. While everyone moved in to take a seat, Carter was freaking out.
