"Kai, if you so much as hurt one hair of our annoying witch head, I will kill you and then..." He couldn't help but threatened this stupid and psychotic guy who was holding Bonnie, at least he thought.

-That was so sweet..." Damon's voice stopped as soon as he heard hers. "Why did you have to ruin it by calling me annoying?" She told him, and he still couldn't realize why he felt so... strange when he heard her voice like it was the one thing he had been dying to hear his whole life.

She was so filled with joy, relief that someone finally came for her that Damon just felt the guilt a little more. It was because of him that she was alone, because she chose him above her, as she always did for anyone.

"She's the reason I survive, the reason I made it out." He had told Elena, after finding this bear Bonnie loved so much after he had hope again about saving her. He could remember surprise in Elena's eyes in front of the fact he just so easily recognized Bonnie saved him, Bonnie helped him getting through all this time. "I don't know, it turns out when you spent time with someone and don't kill him you actually become friends." If someone would have told Damon he would, one day, consider Bonnie as a friend, he would definitely have laughed, with all his heart. But now, it was so true, that it almost scared him at first.

"I'm doing this for Bonnie, Elena, not for you." He needed to tell Elena, because he saw her reactions, being so sure he was forcing himself because he was thinking she would love him again if he brought Bonnie back to her. But it was everything but that. It wasn't about him and Elena, it wasn't about being with her, or about her, but about Bonnie. It was only about Bonnie. He would never have guessed he would say this kind of thing one day in his eternity, that he would choose Bonnie over Elena. And yet, he did, he said it.

"Damon & Bonnie, who would have thought?" was all Elena could find to respond to him after this... declaration. Now Damon wasn't being all about Elena? What a surprise! It even surprised him to be honest. He could remember how Elena looked at him after saying that, almost jealous, and he couldn't find himself to care, not with Bonnie's chances to return so small and fragile.

She couldn't run quicker than she already was running. Her lungs were aching, and her heart beating so fast she thought it would jump out of her chest. She would be there in time, she knew she would, because there was no way she'd stay alone in this hell, not a single minute. She could see Elena's house, a smile crossing her face just at the idea of hearing Damon's annoying voice again.

But why they weren't standing in the porch like he said they would? They must be inside the house, Elena might have wanted to see it one more time, as she burnt the version of her house in the reality. There was no reason to worry... yet. Bonnie opened the door, trying to hide the fear, preparing a smile. But this smile never came out, because it was all black in the house. Because there was no one. In fact, the smile was there, staying in Bonnie's face, the little witch couldn't help but stare inside the house, hoping that Damon who jump out of the darkness, telling her that he knew she would think he left her, with his famous smile. She waited for that moment, that moment where she would hate him while she would be filled with relief because all of this was a false alert. So she waited for it, she waited for a second, two seconds, thirty seconds, a minute, and still no sign of Damon.

The reality finally hit her, because she wasn't too desperate to become stupid. Damon wasn't here. She turned herself to stare at the road, the dark night where she would be scared to be usually if she wasn't alone in here. Because that was it. She was alone. No one would attack her for her money or her power or Elena, no one. Because there was no one, only her, all alone.

A sob came to her as she closed her eyes, like someone would watch her. But no one was watching, no one would come and comfort her. She bit her lip, trying to contain herself. Maybe Damon and Elena were there, they had to run from Kai, or to go somewhere but they would be here, in a minute or two, not more. Lying to herself bring more tears to Bonnie's eyes as she fell to her knees, this one hurting abruptly the ground when she let her sob out.

She was alone, again.
