Skip to freshman year, you and Garret were still dating and it has become a lot more serious than in sixth grade. You and Daniel were the closest you could possibly be and Hazel and Heidi were still your best friends.
You guys were all sitting at lunch and Daniel had something important to tell you all.
Daniel: "So, as you guys know, singing is what I love and being on American Idol has been a dream of mine. So, I'll be in season 14 of American Idol!!!"
Y/n: "NOOO WAYY!!!"
Hazel: "ARE YOU SERIOUS?!"
Heidi: "CONGRATS DANIEL, WE'RE SO PROUD!"
Daniel: "Yup, I get to miss the last week of school and I'll miss a few days from sophomore year."
Y/n: "Wow, you'll be gone for a long time"
Daniel: "Yeah"
Y/n: "I'll make sure to watch every episode and vote you every time"
Daniel: "Thanks y/n, I'll miss you"
Y/n: "I'll miss you more, once you're there I won't even be a thought on your mind"
Daniel: "That's not true, you always are"
Hazel: "Alright Guys stop flirting. Y/n you have a boyfriend and Daniel, you're not allowed to date"
Y/n: "It's not flirting, he's my best friend and he brightens my day, obviously I'm gonna miss him"
Heidi: "I'll miss you too Daniel, when are you leaving?"
Daniel: "Next week"
Hazel: "Whatt!!? You're just now telling us?"
Daniel: "Sorry?"
Lunch ended and you guys carry on with your classes until school is out and you all hang out at a frozen yogurt shop.
Heidi: "I'm still not over the fact that Daniel is going to be on American Idol"
Hazel: "Won't you be like, the youngest one there?"
Daniel: "Probably"
Y/n: "He's going to do amazing though"
Daniel: "Thanks y/n!"
